Karachi is a great city no doubt but the powers that control want to destroy it mafia style. Rawalpindi, Lahore and Islamabad put together are not equal to Karachi. So comparison is not worth it.

Crime is everywhere in Pakistan. It is because all the governments, Punjab included, are not sincere in police reforms. They dont want such a big force which they use for harassing opponents, hide their own crimes and win election go out of their controls. This is my observation and you might disagree.

Crime can only be controlled through strict enforcement but when public gives votes to people who take their votes and send then send target killers or extortionists after them, then its the problem of voting public.

I have seen Karachi as I was born there and lived there. From my childhood and onwards I have seen the city from going bad to worse. Its a reflection of our own non-committment to our city. Whereas Lahore where my mother's family is from, has gone from good to better and much much much better!

P.S. Even when Shehbaz Sharif was not the PM, Lahore always, always looked and felt better than Karachi. I think its more to do with Lahoris loving their city. It is true. Both are my cities and Pakistan is my country.
