PTI did must for Karachi despite 18th amendment limitation. MQM backstabbed PTI for PPP and now are crying for sympathy. Remember under 18th amendment federal govt cannot bypass provincial govt for development projects, despite this PTI spent billions to renovate Karachi roads. PPP didn't like this one bit, they said its attack on 18th amendment and so on.

PTI after coming to power in 2018, took Karachi as a bonus. Not much was done.

Whatever PPP is doing in urban Sindh, particularly in Karachi is all courtesy of Sepoys of GHQ. Zardari is nothing but a front man for these Mir Jaffers. To save Karachi, you'd have to fix the colonial sepoys of GHQ.

Establishment has always kept a balance b/w Urban Sindh and Rural Sindh...but now this development is going to shake this.

Just think what message would go to Urban Sindh people?

Should have raised the issue of delimitations earlier but PPP caught her by surprise. She sensed that MQM factions are getting united and hence may pose a challenge so why give them time to regroup...instantly announced that local bodies are to be held on 15 Jan.

PTI federal did more then anyone else since 18th amendment for Karachi. Not sure what you expected, Karachi is under control of Sindh govt. Its their responsibility for which they get NFC award.

Now MQM contract with PDM was great on paper, but not even 1 point have been implemented since then despite the fact that Sindh govt is ruling federl and province. Apart from making MQM ministers etc personal benefits for MQM. But for Karachi nothing.

I am actually taken aback by the double-standards galore here. Talking to murderous TTP (killers of 80,000 Pakistanis all over the country) is okay, fine and the right thing to do, the same as of the supporters of now "Shaheed Bugti" aka BLA. However, any version of MQM in any form or manifestation is an anathema to these very same people. Why? Except vague reasons amounting to vile, petty provincialism, not much more.

What if these people of Karachi don't like either PTI or PPP as many a past elections have shown? Then what? Do they remain unrepresented just because you have an issue with how MQM of the past was? What if they really want MQM to represent them?

For the past 10 years, Karachi has been rotting. Each trip is worse than the previous one for those who venture to the city.

Whether it is MQM or PPP or PTI, nothing has been delivered to the people of Karachi.

MQM's gripe is that while they have the municipality (KMC etc.), they don't get the funding released by province (PPP). They complained to PTI in the center and PTI said, ok join us and we will make sure you get to do your projects. PPP told PTI, buzz off, 18th amendment gives the CM all the power so the PTI/MQM union was a dud. PPP does not want to release funding to MQM because god forbid if MQM actually did some work with this funding, they could get even more votes in the future so that is a no-no and therein lies the problem of Karachi. PTI and its claims of Karachi are just limited to Defense and Clifton, hardly what you would call Karachi.

As such, Karachi is a bastard that nobody wants to own yet everyone wants to pimp/take advantage of.

No one from KP is asking state to negotiate with TTP. We are in favour of their complete destruction and removal from face of earth. TTP conditions of surrender includes reversal fo FATA and KP merger which is unacceptable to 38.5 million people of KP, except Molana Fazlur Rehman. We would never allow this to happen and hence are against any negotiations. Kill them here, if they are in Afghanistan then cross the border and kill them there. Just be done with it. The issue has became hemroid issue for Pakistan. Elaaj he nahe ho paa Raha barti kiye Gaye hakeemo se.

The thing which is difficult for you to comprehend is that struggle of TTP or BLA was against oppressive forces (in their opinion). They never came into a ruling position and did not continuously exploit their own people . You can also back track their uprising to an inciting event/s.

whenever MQM came into power, they exploited and sold-out the very own people who voted for MQM. There is no inciting event which made MQM betray people of Karachi.
