Karachi-bound PIA flight departs one hour early – The Express Tribune

PESHAWAR: A Karachi-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight departed an hour early from Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar, leaving many passengers behind.

Flight PK-351 was scheduled to depart Peshawar for Karachi at 8:30am, but left the airport one hour ahead of time.

Speaking to The Express Tribune on the condition of anonymity, a PIA official said that they did not know the exact cause of the ‘ahead of scheduled time’ departure, but some passengers who had been left behind had complained to them and the matter was being investigated.

PIA Station Manager Ehsanullah said, “This flight which was scheduled for 7:30am, the schedule was given by PIA Karachi.”

Passengers said the delay in flights was a routine matter and the delay had caused them “fatigue of mind”, and business losses due to loss of time.

What really happened was that the Karachi Airport runway was blocked for almost the whole day because of Shaheen Air landing gear buckle. And the flight schedule was affected. So, today there were alot of of flights in and out of Karachi, and alot of flights were re-scheduled. The passengers were informed about it the night before. But typical behavior of some few, and they make a racket!!

Now whose fault is it that they came late???

It has become politicized. Same with CAA. These aviation bodies need to be separated from MoD. You have PIA officials in CAA, and people with political influences in PIA. Had a chat with a PIA captain a few months back, and he gave a account of the really poor conditions of PIA.

Moreover its not just PIA many other airlines also do this... Its not a new thing in aviation industry but you know when our media starts bashing anything they just become mad......
