Kalashnikov Media has published a video and pictures from the recently conducted equipment tests. The company’s experts have tested a number of products in extreme low-temperature conditions. The tested equipment includes uniforms, submachine guns, desert patrol vehicles, patrol bikes, unmanned and remote-controlled vehicles. Perhaps the most impressive pieces of equipment tested by KC specialists are the unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) called Soratnik and Nakhlebnik.
Let’s watch the mentioned video first.
Soratnik (Соратник, means companion in arms) is the larger UGV shown in the image below. It provides a support fire and cover for the troops. The Soratnik is designed to be deployed with infantry both in defensive and offensive operations. It is also capable of carrying the weapons, equipment and munitions of the squad. Additionally, the vehicle can be used for reconnaissance and medical evacuation tasks. It weighs 7 tons and has a maximal speed of 40 km/h (25 mph). This vehicle can be remotely controlled from up to 10-kilometer distance. It can be controlled both from a control station and via a portable controller.
Soratnik UGV can have different armament options including a 7.62mm machine gun, 30 and 40mm automatic grenade launchers and combinations of those weapon systems. It can also be equipped with a .50 caliber machine gun or 8 of “Kornet-EM” anti-tank guided missiles.

The smaller UGV is called Nakhlebnik (Нахлебник, means freeloader). It is a recon/sabotage style vehicle of quite a small size (reportedly about one meter tall).
Nakhlebnik UGV
I assume Nakhlebnik is also a modular platform capable of being equipped with a variety of turret options depending on the mission requirements. Such modularity allows configuring the unmanned vehicles for use in combat, recon, artillery recon, medical evacuation, transportation, demining and many other roles.
