The KDF Cobras have a head-up display, a laser rangefinder, an infrared jammer mounted above the engine exhaust, and an infrared suppressing engine exhaust system, and the M143 Air Data Subsystem (ADS).

The AH-1F is also referred to as the “Modernized AH-1S”, “AH-1S Modernized Cobra”, or “AH-1S(MC)”.

I'm not sure on numbers,at least 10 but will post pics later. Idk why the KAF has gunships! The aircav had the MD 500 series and the MI 28.You guys are long time operators of the Cobra-whgat can you tell me?

Sorry guys! I could only get this.

I think they're ex-Israeli though I can't be too sure. On this deal they were HUSH HUSH ALL THE WAY!! You won't find the deal on SIPRI or any similar website. Sometimes the KDF does that though the Havocs were reported in Russian media 5 yrs back. Only the Merk 4s in 2014 came in this way, like an ambush.
These are the first of 10. I still don't know why gunships are with the KAF,though,especially when lift is badly needed.

These are old platforms that nevertheless can be armed with cutting edge weapons.

For example instead of unguided Hydra 70 rockets, you can arm Cobras with equivalent guided missiles such as GATR or DAGR. Instead of TOW missiles you can use Spike-ER or even Spike-NLOS ATGM.
