Kabul protests flag-lowering ceremony at Pak-Afghan

Ask an Afghan nationalist. They'll explain it to you. I've even heard them claim that Pakistan is a nuclear weapons state because of Afghanistan and therefore Pakistan's nukes belong to them.

No need to take such idiots seriously .
Otherwise they'll claim our children to be theirs because their women can't pregnant because of pakistan. . Hahah wow this is funny ..

I have never understood as to why Afghans call Pakistanis Daal Khor? If the reason is Pakistani eat daal, it has to be extremely lame. Daal is eaten by many communities of the world. It is full nutrients and very tasty depending on where it is cooked. Do Afghans eat meat 24/7? Not every Afghan is over 6ft with a strong physique. I've seen many who are just simple average height despite them
claiming to be addicted to lamb.

Why has Joe been given a negative rating for this post....... he hasn't abused anyone or has said anything offensive.

Have we become so insensitive that we can't handle someone else's viewpoint

This land belongs to us Pukhtoons.......be happy that we havn't taken the rest of our lands.

The term daal khor is meant to insult Punjabis, they use that term to say that Punjabis are inferior to Afghans because they eat Daal like Indians......its the biggest hypocrisy as they love Indians and don't call them daal khors.

Anyway I am Pukhtoon and i am happy to say i love daal.........with gosht :)

This is my fav daal dish

Another question why are Afghans obsessed with Punjabis? Sure I understand they may have issues with the Sikh Punjabis as Sikhs took on the Afghans in historical battles but how is it relevant to the Pakistani punjabis? I visited Pakistan a few years ago mainly cities in Punjab. Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Lahore and nowhere did I find a Punjabi nationalism. People just got in with their daily routine speaking Urdu and the youth speaking English. Hardly anyone spoke Punjabi or acted like a lollywood badmash. The pure nationalistic Punjabis are the Sikhs. For them Punjab is a holy place and the Punjabi language is sacred to them as to what Quranic Arabic is to us Muslims. I simply cannot understand as why Afghans refer to Pakistanis as Punjabis. It as if the world only refered to Afghans as Pashtuns and ignored the Uzbek, Tajik, Hazara, Turkman communities.

Trust me I've come across northern Punjabis (Gujjars) who would tower over Afghans. Big brutal chaps. As I said earlier not every Afghan is like Thor. Hazara, Uzbeks and Tajiks are of average height and for obvious reasons resemble the country their for fathers originate from. Just like Pakistanis, people from Sindh have a close resemblance to the people of the Indian state of Gujurat. Pakistani Punjabis and Sikh Punjabis share similar physical characteristics. Southern Punjabis from Multan & Bahawalpur have a darker skin tone and resemble people from he Indians state of Rajesthan. The entire subcontinent is a mix of people.

I wouldn't worry about it. There are moderators who have declared that they are waiting for an opportunity. One of them has declared this an opportunity. :D You must have noticed that it is now policy to drive Indians out, all Indians.

It is nature's way that all things must come to an end. Whichever mean-hearted little person did it acted as nature's agent. Nothing more.

The reason Afghans only attack Punjabi is because they think that Pakistani Pukhtoons want to join up with them. They live in their own lala land far away from reality. They also try to insult with daal khor term because they have nothing else to show their superiority. Their is also a narrative in Afghanistan that Pukhtoons are being oppressed in Pakistan. People like Asfandyar Wali and Mahmood Khan Achakzai who are paid traitors of Pukhtoons have been used to destabilize the harmony in Pakistan.

Let me tell you whats going to happen in the future. Current Afghanistan will merge into Pakistan, if not all of it then atleast the lands that belong to Pukhtoons, Baloch and Nuristanis will merge with Pakistan, while the rest will be divided among Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmanistan.

No thank you. Pakistan is now on the road to economic prosperity and reaching the economic standards of South Korea and Turkey. We most definitely don't want to ruin this diamond opportunity. Let them sort there own mess out.

ISLAMABAD: Kabul has protested Islamabad’s decision to start flag-lowering ceremonies at Chaman border crossing in Balochistan, describing the move as “unjustified and contrary to previous pledges”.

Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan has announced it will hold flag-lowering ceremonies at the Pak-Afghan Friendship gate in Chaman every Friday.

The pattern of the ceremony would be similar to the flag-lowering ceremony held by Pakistan and India at the Wagah-Attari border. However, Afghanistan had refused to take part in the ceremony on the plea that it does not recognise the border and calls it “Durand Line”.

Afghan foreign ministry says it has lodged strong protest over the lowering of the flag by the Pakistani security forces at the zero-point of the “artificial Durand Line” and called it a “provocative action”.

Flag-lowering ceremony to be held every Friday at Pak-Afghan border

“The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan wants to make it clear to Pakistan that since the relations between the two countries are passing through a sensitive period, such action could further deteriorate relations and increase the mistrust,” an Afghan foreign ministry statement said on Friday.

During the first ever flag-lowering ceremony last Friday, FC Balochistan had announced it would hold the ceremonies every Friday at the Pak-Afghan Friendship gate in Chaman. Sector Commander FC North Brigadier Nadeem Sohail and Commandant FC Chaman also suggested the Afghan authorities to organise such ceremonies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Brigadier Sohail said, “Pakistan and Afghanistan are not only neighbours but they are also Muslim brotherly countries, who have a history of friendly ties”.

The Afghan foreign ministry, however, urged Pakistan to “focus on fight against terrorism and extremism instead of such actions,” which it said was the main hurdle in the way of peace and security. The ministry also opposed Islamabad’s decision to make visa compulsory for the tribesmen to visit Afghanistan and described the decision as unilateral.

Seems Indian advisors working best in Kabul govt. Everyday something new pop up. Now wonder why Peshwaries are so sick and tired of these few Afghans.

Pashtuns can be seen in every part of Pakistan even small Punjabi villages have atleast one Pashtun family. What does Afghanistan have to offer Pashtuns of Pakistan? It can't even take care of its refugees.

You might not want the rest of the Pukhtoon lands, but we do, its our land and we are in majority here and we want it. The benefits of having the merger.

1. All Pukhtoons united
2. Access to eliminate the terrorists residing in Afghanistan
3. Secure eastern border with no Indian influence.
4. No more Durrand Line Issue
5. Direct access to CAS nations.

and i am sure there are more benefits

??

I would call it fictional.

Listen mate, I am not here to talk BS, either put up or shutup. I know what I am talking about, I have researched this particular subject. Question is, have you?

<sigh!>

How nice to know that your approach to historical analysis is so simple. A punch in the face: when I was turning over dusty tomes, I never thought of this very direct and compelling approach to scholarly pursuits. You are to be congratulated on both your learning and your vocabulary.

Apologies for being blunt. I was hoping the subtle message will go through and some sense will be knocked in.

Let me retry.

When the people of Iraq are accepted as the custodians and builders of the Mesopotamian civilization, when the people of present day Egypt are recognized as the ones who build their civilization along the Nile, why it is so hard for you Indians to accept that Indus was build by the "people of Indus". You lot may get out of your identity crisis if you start looking around in your own lands, there is a pretty solid civilization along the Ganges river which also existed in parallel of Indus. Go and find your traces in there.

Yes, only during Taliban's regime ... and that's a very short history. Most of the history you have been a hostile state towards Pakistan.
In my opinion Afghanistan is a greater danger to Pakistan than india. And india is very very very dangerous, That tells us something.

Pakistan should not treat Afghanistan as India, if we want friend ship with them.

Daal is also a food provided by God almighty , thus he would be a very low life person who'll insult some people on basis of eating this bounty .
We've to learn respecting food .

As I said there's need of cooperation .
Pakistan and afghanistan are no saints ,many things are kept hidden from normal folks like us . there are chances of many riots in future between both .
We need a stable Afghanistan.

Of course we need a stable Afghanistan but not on that conditions
