K2 acquitted in policemen murder case

The Sindh High Court (SHC) allowed Monday appeals of two convicts, including alleged notorious target killer Ubaid K2, against the life term handed to them in a policemen murder case.

A two-judge bench of the high court announced its verdict acquitting them. The court ordered jail authorities to set them free, provided that their custody is not required in any other case.

The prosecution failed to place on record concrete evidence in order for the appellate bench to uphold their conviction, ruled the court that reserved the verdict after conclusion of arguments on Oct 5.

Ubaid-ur-Rehman alias Ubaid K2 and Nadir Shah were awarded life sentence in the murder case of two policemen.
MQM workers Ubaid K2 and others, who were arrested in a raid at MQM headquarter in Azizabad, Nine Zero, were indicted in the murder case of two police officers, SHO Nasirul Hassan and Khurram Butt.

According to police, SHO Brigade police station Nasirul Hassan had participated in the 1993 operation against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Two motorbike riding gunmen targeted SHO Nasirul Hassan and his guard, head constable Khurram Butt in Brigade area in July 2010, resulting in the death of Nasirul Hassan and Khurram Butt.

Sorry to say but military must focus on borders instead of linguistic politics and implanting their criminal stooges. Altaf Bhai sold the Manjan of
Mehroomi Ziyadti and Haq Talfi
to urdu speakers and they blindly worshiped the Blood thirsty Murderer Altaf. Not to forget many of them still worshiping him as Maseeha. I dont like the term but would like to say they are real "bloody civilians ready to sell and sabotage the Motherland for a Chut*ya"

This is not possible unless Karachi is now a separate country. The word 'immigrant' means somebody from foreign country. You might describe them as native Punjabi's or native Sindhi's.

I saw more and went through more at the age of 12 in Karachi than most people do in their entire life. Saw horrible things happening and I still have nightmares


there is no need to arrest remenants of MQM militant wing. They should simply be shot . Same goes for all other political parties and their militant wings.

Rangers have done an incredible job but there are still many hard core militants that need to be found and simply drowned in acid.

There should be no mercy for these serial killers .

I have lived in Karachi as probably has @SQ8. I know for a fact that there was gross injustice carried out against the Mohajirs of the times for no other reason but the fact that they were Mohajirs. Jabba the hut did sell the manjan but there were immense problems for the Mohajir community which led to the rise of MQM from a little party to a king maker party. Unfortunately Jabba the Hut had the vision of a lamp post. So all of that movement was spent in Altaf bhai's health reports or him standing on cranes-to cut cakes. So to say that the Karachiites just supported MQM for the heck of it is bereft of facts. However the party and the momentum it carried forward was destroyed by psychophantic tendencies of its-leadership. The "bori ki siasat" and killing of people-of other ethnicites was a dark time in Karachi's history. The subsequent bhatta khori and snatching of sacrificial skins-from Edhi vans was another black act. Mustufa Kamal's wotk brought them back when Musharraf gave them the money to clean and spruce up Karachi. People supported the MQM but the party merely made money while making excuses under one guise or another. It was only natural that the people eventually deserted the party.

being a a resident of Karachi, i grew up in fear, in childhood i feel fear to visit my Mamoon who lives in Korangi as i have the hobby to read newspapers as little as student of class 2 in late 90s, i read the terror of this party and feel terrorize. In mid 2000 i witnessed first hand experience of the check posts and no go areas when at night i with family visited the uncle home and some mawali type terrorist start asking who we are, whom we want to met, whats the purpose, why at late night (it was 1:00am). like many others, I also grew up in fear and have zero sympathy to that terrorist and his terror group.
Collectively we have seen and heared the miserable deaths of youngsters. They were, are and will remain a black spot on the forehead of Karachi and its identity.
Just minus the MQM from the history of Karachi and the city would be totally different what today is (A dumping ground).
and one more thing, in 2006 when i got admission in College, i hardly attend the classes because of its student wing the APMSO, they literally drilled to the death, 2 students from Jamiat of the same college on the same year when i got admission in the college.

i agree with your point, there were injustice to Urdu Speaking community at some extent but MQM literally abused their public support and political power to silence the opposite, in Mid 2010s we all saw the captured weapon from the Nine Zero and surroundings. God forbid but having seen the kind of weapon LIAs captured, the Anti Aircraft Guns and all that kind of war time weapons, i was thinking, were they planning to fight a war with PA and PAF?

you are correct - the term is just migrant and I used immigration without context as a mistake. But rural or urban migration is what I refer to.
PPP hitmen for e.g. are generally poor migrants from interior sindh and lower Punjab.

While that may “piss you off” - it is the reality. Just look at how slyly the word native was squeezed into the post from a known racist poster above to emphasize the non-native nature of a community that is likely now third or fourth generation born Pakistani.
