ISLAMABAD:
Complying with the Supreme Court’s order, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government has started reconstructing a Hindu temple in Karak, the apex court was told on Tuesday.

On April 16, the top court had directed the K-P government to ensure restoration and reconstruction of the temple and submit a relevant report in two weeks.

Submitting a report on behalf of Karak’s deputy commissioner, K-P Additional Advocate General Waqar Ahmad Khan told the court on Tuesday that a long-standing dispute on rebuilding the Samadhi (shrine) of Hindu saint Shri Paramhans Ji Maharaj in Karak’s Teri town had finally been resolved.

The report said that to keep harmony between the two religious communities of the area, reconstruction has started on five conditions agreed upon by both the communities during different meetings.

1. The Hindu community will not preach their religion.

2. They will only be allowed to offer their prayers.

3. They will not be allowed to arrange huge religious gatherings at the Samadhi.

4. They will not be allowed to construct any large-scale prayer place on the site.

5. They will not be allowed to purchase any further land in the areas and will be restricted to the premises of the Samadhi.

Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC) patron-in-chief Ramesh Kumar Vankwani expressed satisfaction on the report. He termed it ‘victory of good over evil’.

“Attacks against minorities, which result in social unrest, insecurity, violence and frustration, remain the key internal threats Pakistan is facing today.”

He hoped that the shrine would once again be opened for pilgrims, saying that a PHC delegation would soon visit the site to review the situation.

The shrine was constructed where the Hindu saint had died and was buried in 1919. His followers used to visit the place to pay their respects until 1997, when some Muslim fanatics damaged the temple.

The saint’s followers tried to rebuild the temple on the land allegedly occupied by a mufti, even though the property belonged to the Auqaf department.

Hindu elders from Sindh intervened and paid Rs375,000 as cost of the land to the religious leader in 1997. But despite receiving the money from the then minority MPA Gian Chand, the property was not vacated.

Do we not already have people confused as to what is Islamic and what was the practice since the time of Hinduism?

We have people still confused about how to treat ladies when Islam freed women from men's clutches and brutality (i.e. Sati was banned by the Indian LAW - not religion )

We still have shameless men asking for dowry from women which is part of Hindu culture and Islam forbade it....

Every religion has its laws and order...Like how Kashmiris in India cant openly support Pakistan's cricket team which mind you isnt even a religious matter likewise Hindus have their rights but dont have religious freedom coz with that freedom comes responsibilities which people are not ready for!

When is India restoring Babri masjid that you shed crocodile tears about our matter? Didnt our minister recently told you people to keep your nose in your own businesses and stop meddling in ours?! When the Hindus in Pakistan agreed, who are you to cry fake tears?

Indians commenting here............waiting for re-construction of the Babri mosque.....
Why? Babri was removed because it was built over a Hindu temple. Why should it be reconstructed?

Dowry is not Hindu culture, its Indian culture.
Sati, again, is not a religious ritual, it came about in response to invasions.

However, fortunately we don't follow Islamic culture that is prevalent in Pakistan - Muk-muka, Blood money, jihad, killing apostates and kafirs among numerous others.

Win-win if you ask me.

My point on this issue....... "Mind our Own Business"

Sati and dowry is Hindu ritual? Since when? Do you want some discussion on paedophilia, stoning etc? I don't.

These rules are made to prevent mass conversions into Hinduism. Hundreds will join if given the chance. This rule prevents that. Makes sense. I don't mind. They are pakistanis. If they wish to live like equal citizens they should migrate to India.

No offense intended.

Sati and dowry is Hindu ritual? Since when?
The following famous `Sati Hymn' of the Rig Veda was (and still is) recited during the actual immolation of the widow [ Kane 199-200 ]: -
Rig Veda X.18.7 "Let these women, whose husbands are worthy and are living, enter the house with ghee (applied) as corrylium ( to their eyes). Let these wives first step into the pyre, tearless without any affliction and well adorned." -- [ Rig Veda X.18.7 ] [ Kane 199-200 ]

Its in your scripture do take time to read what you go around trying to stuff down people's throats :enjoy:

Do you want some discussion on paedophilia
Not in the Quran so stop plz BS :coffee:

Ya burn the lady alive...Makes perfect sense! Wonder who the genius was! BTW, it was initiated not due to some invasion but when a husband dies....nothing to do with invasion party or not!
If they wish to live like equal citizens they should migrate to India.
Good luck inviting them...Invitation sent now sit down and wait for them to flock your way if they wanna...Had they wanted to they would have left during partitioning, but truth is they didnt :woot:

it came about in response to invasions.
The Garudapurana favourably mentions the immolation of a widow on the funeral pyre, and states that women of all castes, even the Candalla woman, must perform Sati. The only exceptions allowed by this benevolent author is for pregnant women or those who have young children. If women do not perform sati, then they will be reborn into the lowly body of a woman again and again till they perform Sati. [ Garuda.Purana. II.4.91-100 ] [ Kane 237 ].

A sati who dies on the funeral pyre of her husband enjoys an eternal bliss in heaven [ Daksa Smrti IV.18-19 ] [ Sm.Samu p.30 ] [ 1200, p.65 ]

According to Vasishta's Padma-Purana, a woman must, on the death of her husband, allow herself to be burnt alive on the same funeral pyre [ DuB.345 ].

Yajnavalkya, the most important law-giver after Manu, states that sati is the only way for a chaste widow [ Apastamba.I.87 ] [ 1200, p.65 ]

The Yogini Tantra enjoins upon Brahmana widows to burn themselves on the funeral pyre of their husbands [ Yog.T. II.303-308 ]. Vaisya and Sudra widows were also allowed to do it. It was prohibited to unchaste women and those having many children. [ 1200, p.67 ]

The Vyasa Smrti gives one of the two alternatives for a Brahmana widow, ie. either to become a sati or to take up ascetism after her tonsure [ Vyasa Sm. II.53 ] [ Sm.S. p.362 ] [ 1200, p.67 ftn.136 ].

Muk-muka, Blood money, jihad, killing apostates and kafirs among numerous others.
None are ( in the context practiced by many )in the scripture :coffee:

Remarkable ignorance. Copy the verses and do a Google search on your own and see what's written. Check each verse copied. Yogini Tantra is a book on Tantra. Not Dharmic spirituality.

But for the blasphemy laws and apostasy issues, many will happily leave their faith. There is a reason why they exist. And non Muslims emigrate to India even today. By conversion and emigration expect it to reach the ideal 0 percent.

Shame on these Hindus for demeaning themselves by accepting such intolerant conditions. They should rather have set flames to the temple as an act of protest
