After qualifying for combat earlier, ideally for point defense armed with a couple of sidewinder types of missiles, the K-8 now seems to be geared up for counter insurgency operations.
This example apart from being equipped with close combat missiles, is also carrying bomblets on under wing stations.

Per paf pilot at ideas 2x aim 9 type plus 2x 500 lbs / mk82 type plus gun ammo can be carried by k8 easily I think max external load is 980 round to 1000 kg or 22/2300 lbs
