Judicial Commission to probe Lal Masjid operation

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has constituted a judicial commission to probe into the Lal Masjid operation, Geo News reported.

The apex court heard the Lal Masjid case today (Tuesday).

The Supreme Court formed a judicial commission to investigate the matter. Senior judge of Federal Shariat Court, Justice Shehzad Al-Shaikh will head the commission. It will present its report in 45 days.

The commission will be tasked with ascertaining the reasons which led to the operation along with the number of deaths which took place during the operation.

During the hearing, a senior official of the Islamabad Police (AIG) Tahir Alam presented a report over the Lal Masjid operation.

The Chief Justice noted that the investigators had failed to prove whether those killed during the Lal Masjid Operation in 2007 were militants or not.

Seems like the Chief Justice and Supreme Court become invisible when minorities are being exterminated (Shias, Hindus, Ahmadis etc) but seem to rise from the dead to investigate these useless events. It is clear Lal Masjid Operation was done for the better and the mosque was infested with terrorists.

Hey Idiot... This operation was done by Military (a government institute) with the orders of Mr. President. give me a single such example regarding minorities of Pakistan, in Pakistan.
Secondly, that was the turning point of my feelings for Pakistan Army. Even if they were militant and fully and heavily armed they could have been arrested. that was the time when i started believing on the stories told by the Bangalis.

The biggest regret i have is why did the Government send SSG commandos, they should have just sent tanks in and levelled this entire structure. If we would have done that, we wouldn't have lost 8 of our boys especially our Lt Col whom was shot in the head by a coward sniper.

Because you have decided to be completely oblivious to the ground realities and became yet another victim of propaganda. But that doesn't change the reality that LM was infested with terrorists and Khawarij and an operation was due. It is media betrayal to Pakistan army which created a monster face of Pakistan army in public.
