Will this mean raiding Afghan Tali guest houses in the center of Quetta, Pindi and Karachi?
You don't need commando forces for this, do you? A couple of police would do the job.
Not it won't include that, here are the reasons.
1) First and foremost it is hypocrysy on your part, that while your govt is talking to them, you want us to fight them.
2) They have too much influence in Afghanistan's ethno-political and socio-cultural landscape, they control the momentum on the battlefield and control large swathes of territory which Afghan govt can't take back from them. TTP was a smaller group which was defeated, these guys have ruled Afghanistan for almost 5 years, are much more politically flexible.
3) All major powers have talked to them and are in touch with them. Afghan Talib interlocutors have held meetings in Norway, Qatar (where they have an official office), Beijing, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Islamabad, not to forget Murree , where last year your country's delegation plus delegations from China and US held meetings with them. On top of that President Putin held meetings with them in Dushanbe on strategy to counter IS. Pentagon has referred to them as dialogue partners.
4) They are the only formidable force which can counter burgeoning threat from IS. ANA is not in a position to do that, it lacks the capacity and professionalism to take on such a hurriculian task, an example can be high desertion rate. Ascendancy of IS especially in Nangarhar is the biggest challenge for all countries of the region. It is this factor which will involve Russia into Afghan quagmire in future.
Now write letters to your govt officials to stop talking to the Afghan talib representatives, instead of telling us to fight them on your behalf.
