The military will play its due role in a legal and transparent manner in the investigation of the Panamagate case, the corps commanders resolved on Monday.

“The forum pledged that the institution, through its members in joint investigation team, shall play its due role in a legal and transparent manner fulfilling confidence reposed by the apex court of Pakistan,” the military’s media wing, Inter-Service Public Relations, said in a statement.

According to the communiqué, the 202nd Corps Commanders Conference discussed the Panama Case verdict by the Supreme Court of Pakistan “with special reference to JIT”. The participants of the meeting also reviewed progress of the ongoing countrywide military offensive Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

On Saturday, the top court issued notices to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his sons, directing them to comply with the Panamagate verdict “as and when required.” The development came a day after the SC ordered formation of a JIT to further probe the premier family’s offshore assets.

The court ruled, on April 20, that there wasn’t enough evidence to disqualify the premier but that he and his sons Hussain and Hasan Nawaz were to appear before the JIT.

Neither do "missing" persons.

So what do the courts do now that Musharraf is gone, memogate is buried, Zardari isn't President?

Wouldn't the western world see this move as a military consolidation of power by interfering in civilian affairs.

The Pak Military has the resources to offer into the matter. While the government agencies, that should have looked into the matter before any Court judgement but didn't, will be kept out due to political play of the Sharif Dynasty.

ISI and MI were part of all previous JITs, what came out of it? Uzair Baluch, Asim Hussain, baldiya town factory fire, killings of PAT workers, you name it.

Wouldn't the western world see this move as a military consolidation of power by interfering in civilian affairs.
Seeing that Pakistan is slated to go into an economic boom don't you guys think this development might choke investments at a time when it might have the most impact??

What do you guys think.
I personally think the military should keep out of this to shore up Pakistan's national image in the international stage where potential investors in Europe give a lot of scrutiny to a country's domestic situation before investing.

We need to get out of this western world will think this, western world will think that bs, our national issues are our own, we will do whatever we want in our country, seriously f••••k them n their p•••y ideals, our economic boom is not dependant on the western world and investments will never decrease now whatever we do, the goras are more shameless than anyone when it comes to economic interest, they will do anything if they can get 2 dollars more out of it, we must focus towards russia, china, asia and middleeast for investments snd build our local industry and agri sector we can generate billions of dollars just by exports to african and middleastern states, no one can isolate us now nor sanction us as we are now the gateway to the economic giant china, national security comes before all else, we must cleanse this nation of corruption and traitors, that is the way forward, mark my words if we can introduce social justice and corruption free institutions we will become a robust economic power within 10 yrs no matter who has a problem with us, so isay again f•••k the west, every single breath the take is filled with hate for muslims and all their goals entiwine in destruction of pakistan no matter how friendly the act...
