yes, for larger missiles (anti ship, and air launched land attack cruise missiles)

and then again for jamming and targeting pods.

payload is mission specific. a plane doesnt have to be loaded to its neck just because it has that many hardpoints.
antiship and anti radiation missiles are heavy and so are cruise missiles, their own weight will mean that the plane wont be carrying A2A missiles to fillup its other racks. it will have an escort to do that job otherwise it will fail in both roles.

key word is: "NOT EVERY" rack has to be loaded if the mission is say ground or sea based strike.

It's more of an interchangeable term. Air superiority fighters are in essence multi-role. Dassault, came up with a new term for their multi-role fighter: the swing role.

Recent interview of Wing commander of JF-17. Wing strengthening and other stress tests that were conducted recently has enhanced JF-17 capability to carry more load per hard point... Hard points remains same. i.e 7

Upto block III....but it can go further with block IV, V as well.

It all depends on how the future unfolds.

Thats already factored in.

in Block-I it was carrying about 3800kg-4500kg.

Now with additional 3000lbs which means more 1360.78KG+4500KG= 5860.78KG at max.
