JF-17 "Extremely close" to the MIG-29: Mikhail Pogosyan

i would love to argue the day, both jft & lca meets somewhere just like f 16 & mig 29

LCA comes under 4+ generation while the JFT comes under 4 generation ......
JFT can never come close to the latest upgrade to the MIG-29.......

I request Indian member do not show your frustration here JF-17 is 4 or 4+ its none of your business, you better go to HAL office and protest, they are wasting your tax money from last 30 years and LCAMK2 is 2015 beyond thing.:hang2:

And JF-17 of today can kill dozens of LCA's of today without getting shot(if it (LCA) survives from IAF pilots).

That's a pretty modest way of putting from Mikhail Pogosyan. JFT like Tejas are yet to be proven and both jets need more time to mature to be comparable to MiG-29.

Comparing them is simply not possible.

dont put both jf17 and lca in the same boat--- jf17 has an operational squadron , which is also giving it a chance to 'mature' as you said , by testing it against f16 and j10 :wave:

Present LCA is more than enough for the present JFT ..It is becoming Late only because we are trying to make it much from the Indian parts and remove the foreign parts and it the first time we are making one and it will take time..

the LCA uses a quadruplex Fly by wire control where as JFT uses duplex Fly by wire which in future will be upgraded to quadruplex..

LCA has relaxed static stability (RSS) to enhance maneuverability performance making it highly maneuverable than JFT

Use of composites and small size of the plane make it more stealthy than JFT
has less RCS than JFT

can any one tell me one thing about JFT which can surpass the LCA
all the above things about LCA is Mark-1
it will be upgraded to Mark-2 then it will have greater speed greater thrust/wt and more take of weight better radar and many more.....

lol its gona be a one month LCA prototypes are grounded not a single flight from18Oct 2010 till now don't make fun of urself and Hindustan fighter.:hang2:

CARE TO EXPLAIN HOW??? What does JF-17 not have that your average 4th gen fighter has???

don't make these un-educated guesses unless you have a valid reason to believe so.

part in bold does not matter as much as radar, avionics, ECM/EW and BVRs.

Your comparing fighter; a simple mine is faster then yours is not enough.

LCA completed it's flight testing just under a month ago and you already talk about block-II, and it seems to me that you must be psychic to know which future block will be better.

By the time PAF have got their first JF-17 block-II, IAF will still be conducting LCA mk-1. So you will be playing catch-up most of the time.

Plz do not make half @ss assumptions.

till now there was never any problem in the LCA so that they need to be grounded the testing has been completed and by end of this year or early next year it will get the certification and its stated that name LCA will be replaced by HF...

and u people dont have the right to comment on LCA because in your whole life you have not been able to produce a fighter on your own and always dependent on other ....
For us LCA made had taken lot of time and money but its the starting of depending on ourself and in the future the experience gained on LCA and kaveri will make us less dependent on others

I didnt compared the Radar and avionics because they are quite the same and LCA radar Elta EL/M-2032 is better than the that of JFT.. and i think you dont have any knowledge about the jets because after flight testing it will receive clearances and by the end of the year LCA will receive all the clearances and inducted by 2011 and work on Mark 2 is started and ready by 2014.... same as that of JFT mark 2...
