This is the "Neturei Karta" group, a very small gathering (membership in the hundreds, probably much less than that) that is highly marginal in all things Jewish.

They are well known because everyone is always shocked to see black-suit-and-hat Jews protesting vehemently alongside rabid leftists and Muslim/Palestinian sympathizers in protests - therefore they are an obvious media pearl and receive much media attention as a result (something they love, as you can see from the Fox News interview posted above.)

Unfortunately for all Israel wrong-wishers, this group is VERY, VERY marginal in the JEWISH community (not Israeli community, JEWISH community!) with opinions from fellow jews ranging from indifference and amusement to outright disgust and hatred.

One of the Neturei Karta rabbies was active in the NYC jewish scene (an important scene if there ever was one) until he and his friends went to the Iranian holocaust-denial convention, and upon returning to NYC found his kids kicked out of their Jewish school and him being banned from most if not all synagogues (if i recalled correctly this rabbi ended up leaving NYC because of the ostracization he received.)

Another case is when a ZAKA rabbi was on visit in Poland for the March of the Living and was visiting a synagogue one evening for prayers. Upon finding out that in his presence was a Neturei Karta rabbi, he proceeded to confront this rabbi and punched him square in the face, knocking him down. He received only applause and warmth from the rest of the synagogue-goers and the Polish Jewish community as well.

My point being, this is great stuff to cause media sensation but the power and influence of this group is marginal at best (and non-existant if we want to be realistic) in all things Jewish. While it may certainly make Israel haters happy and confident to see that, *gasp,* even JEWS hate Israel! please note that this group is wholey unrepresentative of the Jewish population world-wide and the only Jews who agree with their views are, as I said, the several hundred members who comprise the group itself.

What's your opinion on current Gaza attack?Don't you think the collateral damage is way too high in this war..Although I don't support firing rockets but I think Israel should at least try to reduce the collateral damage....Anyhow i think Israel should allow foriegn press in Gaza and stop hitting UN buildings.
