Jew In A Mosque

Our mosques regularly host interfaith barbecues where all the nonmuslim neighbors are invited. Having said that, I have picked three glaring commonalities during all such events:
1. the conservative mullahs always create a muck so whenever we are hosting such an event, we make sure that the types who have a habit of pointing out that y' all will burn in hell ARE NOT INVITED!!!
2. hindus rarely show up even though they have a sizable community, maybe because its "barbecue" or maybe its hatred. Not 100% sure but given the situation in india, I can make a pretty well educated guess what the reason really. sikhs do show up sometimes and every time they do, they are very friendly and even help out in the barbecue.
3. It is the easiest to explain Islam to christians, jews, agnostics and sikhs while it is the hardest to explain to the atheists. atheists almost ALWAYS end up behaving in similar manner to the conservative mullas with the ONLY difference being that the mullas says everyone except them will burn in hell so too bad while the atheist says that everyone is gonna die and turn into fertilizer so too bad.

Not at all, get out of your small town and see around you. Even ALLAH said ponder on HIS signs and HIS signs spread over the whole universe!

He seems ignorant to the base....not really his fault many in Pakistan dont allow women in the masjid....So having a non Muslim in one must be a heart attack let alone praying in a church!
We dont allow?
A)There are mosques in certain areas which have a seperate prayer halls for women.
B)Women dont go to mosques ever... its cultural... if anything girls are taught Quran,Islam by old women (hafizas etc) in the rural areas...

In history.. has a woman ever lead a call for prayer? Female Imams? Lol

Yes, there are female scholars in both shia and sunni sects... but they cater to women... address women.

The stipulation was at the time because if a woman married outside, the challenge was her rights under shariah were more than what others would provide 'at that time' in terms of inheritance laws etc. Hence that was the sole basis for this ruling. We have had endless superb discussion in our town forum with rabbis who were narrating the talmud and two other very learned imams from Cape Town; I am quoting this from our communal discussions we had here in Zeerust. Now, it should the lack of insight; for example, the judaism marriage contract is virtually identical to that of nikah for those who are not versed; a woman can take the power of divorce away from a man etc.
You guys should visit my small town; moslems and jews have the same grave yard; we share the same land; except one is on the right the other is on the left.

Hi,

Soe close we are---yet so far---.

certain areas
MOSTLY no!

Exactly my point...During Prophet's time the masjid was a place to educate and women also had places. In Saudi all mosques have a place for women. In Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Middle east: In these countries going to the Masjid is a family thing to knit the spiritual bond and expose the next generation to Islam...

MOST of UK and USA have a place for women in the masjid...As long as it is not a masjid "taken over" by some Pakistani or Desi uncle from the village!

In history.. has a woman ever lead a call for prayer? Female Imams? Lol
That is not the point....Women should not be stopped from entering the masjid. I am not talking about being imam! That is clear it is not for women.

Yes, there are female scholars in both shia and sunni sects... but they cater to women... address women.
Again the issue at hand is stopping or preventing or not allowing women to enter a masjid to pray in jamaa'

It is strange you went to UK and didnt observe that women do go to masjid for both Quran reading classes as well as to pray at the back with in jamaa'
