Jew In A Mosque

.
Muslims and Jews have very close religious traditions and believe in the same Lord, like our christian cousins. We can pray in both Synagogues and Churches, and Jews can pray in mosques.
and that means abrahmic faith people cannot pray in hindu and buddhist temples?

.
Muslims can marry Christians and Jews...their holy books are our holy books and are offered the same respect as the Quran...etc.
Minor correction: A Muslim man can marry a Christian woman or a Jewish woman (if Muslim women reject him). This leniency is not for a Muslim woman.

Holy Quran is for the mankind - everybody.

Holy Quran is the final word of Allah Almighty and feature all revelations since the era of Adam and Eve (it also address misconceptions in Bible). Islam is the successor to both Judaism and Christianity, but Jews and Christians cannot be forced to embrace Islam. Therefore, Islamic ruling is encourage interfaith harmony.

Idk why all the hate exists. We all believe in the same Prophets(more or less), the same one true God. There are very few differences...which shouldn't be a reason for such hate that exists.
Politics unfortunately.

I was aware of that...my mistake I didn't write it so specifically as to identify the gender.

However I would like to clarify one point which I've never heard before. U mention that a Muslim man can marry a Christian or Jewish woman only if he is rejected by Muslim women? I thought it was allowed(not recommended) regardless of the condition u mentioned.

The stipulation was at the time because if a woman married outside, the challenge was her rights under shariah were more than what others would provide 'at that time' in terms of inheritance laws etc. Hence that was the sole basis for this ruling. We have had endless superb discussion in our town forum with rabbis who were narrating the talmud and two other very learned imams from Cape Town; I am quoting this from our communal discussions we had here in Zeerust. Now, it should the lack of insight; for example, the judaism marriage contract is virtually identical to that of nikah for those who are not versed; a woman can take the power of divorce away from a man etc.
You guys should visit my small town; moslems and jews have the same grave yard; we share the same land; except one is on the right the other is on the left.

Seems like u r living in a nice town where ppl are educated enough(both Jews and Muslims) about their religions...unlike misguided zealots running around blowing stuff up and giving Islam a bad name. Keep up the good work of religious harmony...it's rare to see these days.

P.S. I would love to visit as soon as I accomplish some life goals of buying a house and paying off my student loans...next up on my list is travel.

in our country even other sects are not allowed to enter mosques let alone a yahoodi
Lol its so true.

My Pakistani cousins worry for my iman because I'll pray in a deobandi masjid or a salafi masjid despite being a barelvi. So much intolerance back home.

One of my favorites to listen to on religious issues that come up where one may need to turn to Islamic scholars...is Javed Ahmad Ghamidi. He is very well versed in Islamic teachings(Quran/Hadiths/etc.)...moreover he also brings into discussion the historical context(like the circumstances of a particular time period for a ruling) and gives a very neutral unbiased view. Best of all he is free from that sectarian mumbo jumbo. Just thought I would throw it out there...in case if anyone is interested.

I remember when I was little(like 6 maybe?)...while still in Pakistan. One of my neighbors had died...so all the ppl on my street had gathered and someone told me to notify the imam at the nearest mosque. I went to one of the nearby mosques and they asked me if the deceased was "Ehl-e-Sunnat". I was too little at the time to even know what that meant so I told them that I don't know...they turned me away...

Did it even matter if he was "Ehl-e-Sunnat" or not? He was still a Muslim...and so was the Imam

Praying in Churches /synagogue

Answering the question, Dr. `Abdul-Fattah Idrees, professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University states:

A traveling Muslim may be allowed to perform prayer in a church if he failed to recognize a nearby mosque on his way. It is not necessary that a Muslim who does not know the mosque to perform prayer in a church as there are many other places to perform prayer.

The reason why it is not recommended for a Muslim to pray in a church is that a Muslim praying there may be distracted during performing prayer by the crosses, statues as well other Christian symbols drawn on the wall of the church.

Dr. Muzzamil Siddiqi, the former president of the Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA), concludes:

It is permissible to pray in any place, as long the place is clean (tahir). However, praying in a church, temple or any other religious place without any necessity is makruh.

It is possible that some people of those religions may not like to see us praying in their places of worship and we should not hurt other people’s feelings. If we have to pray in those places then we should take proper permission from the authorities that govern those sanctuaries.

Muslims and Jews are brother while Christians are distant relatives. If I say Jews are our brother I am not referring to Zionists.
