The students move came in a protest against the Indian brutalities on Muslims and Dalits.
NEW DELHI (Dunya News) – Students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Indian city of New Delhi burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The students move came in a protest against the Indian brutalities on Muslims and Dalits in the supervision of Modi.

“We celebrated the victory of truth over falsehood in a modern and democratic country by burning effigies. For us Modi and RSS are symbol of untruth,” said Sunny Diman, an NSUI member as reported by Hindustan Times.

National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) at the university declared Modi and BJP leaders Ravana – known as the demon king.

The students pronounced that not Muslims but extremists pose a threat to India.

JNU’s administration has initiated investigation against the incident.

Hmmm, seems like fault lines in India are becoming more and more clear with every passing day.

I find it a good initiative that people have started to show their unease about fundamentalist Modi and co.
Nope, you are looking at things which you want to see and then use them to enforce your perception.

OT
This is stupid but I guess there are no holds barred in politics now.

Any govt, Anywhere has haters within and outside the country. Democracy allows it. People like these dont even deserve attention. Its all politics at the end of the day.

I guess these students are considered as traitors in India now?

Yup... you're right, the world is stupid for blaming Modi and his minions

I see the world only shaking hands with Modi and comparing him to a rockstar with the crowds he pulls in foreign countries largest stadiums.

Funny definition of "blaming".

Leftist idiots are prevalent worldwide, luckily in India they are becoming further and further isolated (and thus desperate as their true numbers are exposed to be quite small than what they attempted to puff it up as).

This is the first stage in any medical diagnosis, containment and stopping of any spread....then the surgery/treatment can be done effectively. The surrounding infected tissue will then heal over time....but rest of the body never has to worry about it in future!

Why the big hoohah about US? Did Obama visit Pakistan even once as president in 8 years? Or did the drones, OBL raid, Raymond Davis episode, Hafeez Saeed bounty etc. get in the way of that?

How are they treating Pakistan these days anyway? They are quite exemplary? You judge it based on who they give and dont give visas to for political purposes (UPA pressure on US to not give visa to Modi is well known)?

Did your best friend China stop Modi the "mass murderer" from visiting them frequently before he became PM?

Or the multitudes of other countries in developed and developing world?

US = entire world to you still? No wonder the affair turned sour after they used you up during the 80s. Now we get to see it with China next.
