Another stupid theory. If COVID-19 had originated in the US, given its R0 of at least 2.3 but probably somewhere between 3 and 3.5, and it has been active and unchecked since at least mid November, there would now be tens of millions of active cases of sick Americans with serious flu/pneumonia like symptoms.

With no face masks or quarantines we'd all be in the hospital by now.

Note how insidious it was that China has grabbed the world face mask supply and now as COVID-19 crosses borders the rest of us are completely exposed with no defense.

US "Dept of Homeland security" according to Fox News does not rule out this is a bio-weapon made by the Chinese and it got out from Wuhan and it is completely China's fault for this outbreak.

Considering the flu kills well over 300,000 people worldwide (including 84,000-92,000 in China) why is the deaths in the US some kind of a special marker all of a sudden compared to everybody else?

That's because Chinese tend to be rational. Very few Chinese here have called COVID-19 a US bioweapon because there is no hard evidence this is the case. This is in contrast to several posters framing COVID-19 as a leaked pathogen from a Wuhan lab.

At this point we still do not know what actually causes COVID-19.

I honestly don’t mind them eating anything that moves. People around the world eat plenty of weird stuff (maggots in Africa for example).

However it looks like many of these animals were “wild caught”. That’s when trouble is likely. If they want to breed “odd” creatures on farms where their food and health is watched then that should solve many problems.

Of course there is the issue of live animals being slaughtered in markets with blood mixing here and there. Maybe that should be better handled.

This accusation is groundless.

They eat bat since 18th century and nothing has happened.
There are other people (including in my country) that eat bat, dog, rat etc but are OK.

I also have a feeling that this bat or wild market BS thing is just a cover up, the origin of this virus is something else. Human beings have been eating every kind of wild animals for tens of thousands of years and they still do in African or Amazon jungles and are doing just fine. All these claims that corona virus originated from some sh1tty wild animal is just a cover up and they don't present any convincing solid evidence or proof to back it up.
