TOKYO, March 1. /TASS/. Secretary General of Japan's National Security Secretariat Shotaro Yachi has explained in Washington Tokyo’s policy towards Russia that raises concerns by the United States, NHK TV channel reported.

At the meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Monday, Yachi "clarified Japan’s position towards solving the territorial problem in relations with Russia calling on the US to show understanding," the report said.

The United States is concerned about the plans of Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to pay a non-official visit to Russia ahead of the G7 summit that will be held in Japan in May. Abe calls for dialogue with Moscow despite its soured relations with the West.

During the talks, Yachi and Blinken also discussed the possible adoption by the UN Security Council of harsher sanctions against North Korea, the situation in Syria and in the South China Sea where Tokyo and Washington accuse Beijing of attempts to take under control significant water areas.

The long-running dispute over the Southern Kuril Islands remains the main obstacle for the settlement in the relations between Russia and Japan and signing of the peace treaty. After the end of World War II, all the Kuril Islands were declared the territory of the Soviet Union. Japan claims Iturup, Kunashir, Shikotan and Khabomai as part of its territory.

In another word, Japan side says it is "none of your business" and will continue with the planned meeting. To make its point even more poignant, Japan should sign some agreements on energy cooperation at the meeting.

Explained? Why? Did Japan was real country or what?

The United States has a deep aversion for Russo-Japanese entente. And in regards to foreign policy, well, we must be realistic and honest here. Since the defeat of the Japanese Empire to the United States in 1945, the Japanese foreign policy has largely been under American influence. The continuation of a defeatist attitude , self-inhibitionism is testament to Japanese left wing supporters, who have been , for far too long, lured and under the surreptitious trance by American state actors.

With the rise of Abe and more ardent Japanese patriots in government, Japan seems to be slowly, gradually moving away from this post-war inhibitionism. The development of Russo-Japanese ties is testament to this. As well as Sino-Japanese multilevel political and cultural dialectic.

Regards.

Did Japan was real country or what?

There are elements in Japan who would like to see foreign influence (American) in the country for perpetuity. Ultimately the traditional power centers of the country and the silent majority in Japan are at war with US-oriented policies. It is not aligned, ultimately, and have been , for a long , long time, been perpetuated through artificial processes.
