Japan ready to finance India’s coal-fuelled projects

yes............
We should sign FMTA agreement with japan

Do you know that there's already over 1300 Japanese businesses that call India home? More and more of the facilities once located in China are offshoring to India. The more and more I'm liking Mr. Modi for his vision and investor friendly policy stance.

As Modi ji had said in Japan
"We have to decide if we want to have 'vikas vaad' (development) or 'vistar vaad' (expansionism) which leads to disintegration. Those who follow the path of Buddha and have faith on 'vikas vaad', they develop. But we see, those having ideas of the 18th century, engage in encroachments and enter seas (of others),"

Profound !!

Coal projects will continue to dominate the Power sector as thermal power plants alone supply 75% of the energy demand, while Hydro and Nuclear supply 20% and 4% roughly. And as India has a huge coal reserve ( at least 85,000 Million tonnes of recoverable reserves; 2003 estimates) which may last for about another 230 years (at the current R/P ratio) it is natural to assume that Coal base projects will be government's best option for cheap, reliable and quick power resources.

And as far as environmental aspects are concerned, with the collaboration of several European and Japanese companies technologies like Ultra Super Critical method, Circulating fluidised bed combustion, IGCC and Oxy-fuel combustion methods have been adopted by all the Private and Government power generation companies which increase the boiler efficiency to at least 45% compared the old conventional sub-critical technologies (32%). This eventually reduces the coal rate. Higher the efficiency lower the coal rate thus reducing the CO2 emissions within permissible level.

What is full form of FMTA?

Japan also uses coal for our industry and clean coal tech to be exact. I believe these same techs will be used for India. Given that Japan is vested in over $35 Billion worth in industry-infrastructure focused investments in India.

Okay, if you say so!

He's going the extra mile for Japan for sure.

A dedicated team of bureaucrats has been created by the PMO(Prime Minister's Office) for the sole purpose of helping and facilitating any Japanese company that wants to set up shop in India or expand.

Other corporations of every other country, would have to follow the regular routine.

Though he is trying to make procedures and laws simple for everyone in general but Japan is his focus. The idea is that every Japanese company looking to move production out of China should come to India.
