Modern China is heavily influenced by the west.

Everything from architecture, pop culture, music, fashion, cars, railway, airplanes, ect.

It is pretty stupid to say China is "original". Culture change with time, and humans are adaptive animals, they usually take in what works and throw out what doesn't work. Basically, every culture copied something from other cultures.

Who cares?

We are heavily open minded, as long as our civilization can keep thriving, we won't mind to absorb the foreign elements into our civilization.

Average Japanese makes roughly 5.5 times more than average Chinese.

China improving a lot though. 5 years ago Japanese makes 10x more, but with Sony not what it used to be and Japan in recession and China growing at 8%, the gap closed a lot.

Nope, there are far more Japanese and Koreans living in China than vice versa.

Japan and South Korea have higher GDP per capita on the paper, whilst the exact living standard is not really higher.

There are no more than 200,000 Japanese in China. Whereas there are over 1 million Chinese in Japan.

WTF are you talking about? The only reason China shows the same GDP as the US is because of PPP. Purchasing Power Parity accounts for the variances in cost of living in different countries in relation to the US. So if you have GDP per capita in PPP that's lower than another country it means you're poorer than that country. In nominal terms, China has a GDP of 10 trillion and ours is over 17 trillion. By the way, US is actually quite inexpensive in comparison to the other developed nations.

It is not reasonable to be of a tit for tat comparison
USA Japan and S Korea dont have the same size of population
They started industrialization a lot earlier. They also have experienced a lot less foreign invasions/ destructions
If China creams off say 500 million people on the east coast for comparison then the gap is not as significant

Our government dont use GPD by PPP for our growth benchmarks
It was IMF or WB which mentioned China's GDP-PPP has surpassed that of USA
