Very good PR for the IN (not the Sushmita Sen part since I do not even know who she is) but overall I think the Indian Armed forces do a very good PR job with various documentaries etc.

I find a learned south asian as yourself, not knowing sushmita sen rather amusing.


Only after Kargil 99, with the advent of Private Channels, they Armed Forces have started getting their due attention. I have always been a fan of the Indian Navy, find them far more professional than IAF and IA.

To be very honest my knowledge of Indian (or for that matter Pakistani) showbiz is dismal. I never grew up watching Indian or Pakistani movies (Pakistani dramas I did see plenty). My family was not much into watching movies either (reading was encouraged more).

On the professional part, I think it depends on the size of the arm as well. The smaller it is, the more integrated and professional in outlook it usually is as well.
