It's not exactly a new concept. Racetracks for years have been doing that here in the US. Especially when it has just rained. Dries up the track perfectly. Also used after "caution" flag goes up, to blow debris off the track. And yes, snowblowers do too...

They are better than the British though. Over here we use snow plows..Talk about being poor and inefficient!

No it won't tip over. Whenever I've seen them the engines are not running full thrust. Not needed. The heat also melts the ice and dries the ground up. Fuel is carried on the truck.

You have even water jet engines that throw huge amounts of water when there is a fire problem.
