It's laughable how some posters comment on Chinese military development by saying what they would like to believe is true rather than doing some background research before spouting nonsense that makes them look like the ignoramuses they are. Copy, clone, reverse-engineered or whatever, China is now producing planes, ships and military hardware that is approaching the best the West can make. No amount of backbiting or snide remarks is going to change this trend.

Back to the J-15, it is an astonishing achievement to take-off and land J-15s only months after commissioning of the Liaoning ACC. China keeps proving their doubters wrong about what to expect from China. Really looking forward to seeing China's 5th Gen stealth fighters.

J-15 no contest, F/A-18E/F it is a different class, the Su-33 has never confirmed victories before the F-18, J-15 will repeat it. Liaoning not use catapults, it uses skijump and so load parameters of the J-15 will certainly be reduced several times, similar to the Su-33.Again J-15 has no competition, the J-15 was struck by F-18E.
