What's new

It’s showtime: Half a million electorates decide fate of NA-19, Haripur today!

And you are sure it had nothing to do with incompetency of KPK government?

I am a voter from Hazara and believe me nobody cared about baradari while casting their votes in 2013, even I disobeyed my elders (which I regret now) and voted for PTI's candidate that I never liked.
PTI won most election seats from there in local body elections ,
may be they have some other defination of governance then i do

Based on what I have experienced Party counts little in local body elections. People go for ones who would get their problems solved and would listen to their issues, may be PTI was lucky to have such candidates, otherwise I don't see winning local body elections is a Kamal of PTI performance.

One thing is for sure.. This loss means Wife will not be treated as "Rani" anymore... Most of the senior leaders will blame her for this defeat.

So what if MQM wasnt participating????

Than there won't be any elections, MQM is the most popular party all over Pakistan.

MQM might be supporting PMLN against PTI on that but anyways lets bury MQM for now what are the CAUSES of PTI's Embarrassment at the time when so called National Bhabi was running PTI Campaign??

Simple.

This constituency has traditionally been a stronghold of PML-N. The reason why everyone was looking at this constituency is because PTI and PML-N were neck and neck in 2013 elections and the by elections after. PTI won most of the seats here in the LB Elections.

Second, PML-N's candidate was very strong. This family has deep rooted links to the people of this constituency. Putting their corruption aside, even as Independents they won a huge chunk of votes. After getting the PML-N ticket, his vote count doubled where as PTI's candidate was largely relying on IK's and PTI popularity, he spent most of his time in Islamabad rather than in his own constituency. PTI on its own lacks the organizational strength to mobilize its voters on a large scale, and take them to the polling station. Most of the candidates who won on PTI tickets in LB Elections didn't bother campaigning for PTI's candidate.

Third, although KPK is a much better governed province compared to Punjab and Sindh, PTI lead Government still hasn't been able to deliver all the promises that IK made. He set very high unrealistic expectations which the PTI led Government simply could not fulfill. There certainly was disappointment over that and IK's politics of Dharna and agitation certainly has taken a toll. Not to mention, people jealous of his wedding.

So many factors, PTI needs to take a step back and re evaluate its policies. But after this election one thing is for sure, PTI is the sole opposition party in Pakistan. Its always PTI vs Other Status Quo Parties, PTI trying to break in to their vote banks and the other Status Quo Parties trying to maintain their vote banks.

And you are sure it had nothing to do with incompetency of KPK government?

I think this post is exactly part of the problem. Sure there are many areas where KPK's Governance needs to improve, but if you look at it objectively, KPK is the only Province that has been made efforts to improve Governance and bring better deliverance to the people.

On the other hand, PML-N lead Punjab and PPP lead Sindh have done everything in their power to destroy their Provinces. Corruption and Nepotism are rife in Sindh and Punjab, no one points that out but everyone likes to point out the flaws in KPK. Most recent example, this sham of Good Governance in Punjab was exposed in Kasur where the entire State Apparatus collapsed. Its as if, people are directly acquiescing to corruption in Punjab and Sindh.

No wonder our country is going to the gutters, when the same Chor Lotaray are given chances again and again.

Eagle bai jan when it comes to development of my area I am least interested in what is happening in Punjab or Sindh, we elected PTI to perform here in this province and not some Punjabi or Sindhi they are not answerable for this, and honestly whenever I visit my area I don't see any change I see the same ignorance that prevailed under ANP. Your beloved head of party lacks multitasking and planning skills, he is head of a party but no leader.

And if child abuse is the measure of governance and performance then I hope Khattak and IK have lot to do, the worst child sexual abuse happens in KPK, there would hardly be any child labor who is lucky not to have been abused, at least in Punjab it got highlighted but in KPK it happens and most of the karta dhartaz know about it.
