US general public opinion about Pakistan and Pakistani's is unfavorable because of constant Demonetization of Pakistan in their Media ,Publish mostly Negative News regarding Pakistan/Pakistani and ignorance and lack of basic IQ ..
I have talked to Hundred of American over the last 6-8 years, and many become my Friends here are few Gem Questions i get from them when they first Talk to a me ( Pakistani )..

1- Are you a Muslim ? Yes.. than you must be Arab ( my reaction )
2- You are Muslim , so you marry 4 Women ? ( oh i wish )
3- Pakistan ? but we know only Japan and South Korea in Asia. ( )
4- Pakistan ? you beat your wives ? Your women are all in that Cover thing called Burqa ? All your men have Beards ? )
5- Pakistan? but we Invaded Pakistan right ? Actually Talking about Afghanistan
6- If we come to Pakistan do we have wear Burqa ?
7- If we come to Pakistan will we get Raped and than stoned to death by angry Mob because we are American ?

there are more Stupid Questions they ask but they are not clicking in my mind for now ..
those questions are not something i made up or heard from any Chaha , Mamu or Uncle .. these are questions i faced when i start Making friends from all over the world that Include US .. Surprisingly the knowledge they have about Islam and Pakistan in general is even lower than Indian Media .. I am really not Surprised to know why and how US general Public Opinion about Pakistan is very low, cause they are just Ignorant of things and they don't want to accept that they don't know anything, They want to make big claims like their newly elected Pu$$y grabber President but in real their mindset is still set on White Super-mists , Superior Race and other BS likes Islam wants to dominate US , Shariah is coming blah blah

We can say similar things about Pakistan that the mullah brigade of Pakistan is Ignorant of US and American General Public, but as there are So many Pakistani's in America , and somehow almost everyone has their some relatives settled in US for quite some time ,so they time to time heard about US but we can't say the same for US citizens .

Trump wants to Isolate America and keep them ignorant , as many are already ignorant of world, cultures and religions . Trump said himself that republican supporters are pretty Stupid and if ever thought of getting into Politics he will be a Republican candidate , he is spewing his hate against selective People and country but in reality i dare this Orange man to Banned GCC/Middle East People from Entering US, with GCC investment out of US, end of Petro-Dollar Economy that will cripple the US, and if Arabs get pissed more and decide to Invest that billions of Dollars they have invested in US to Russia and China .. than we will know who have who grabbed by the Pu$$y

Screening , Monitoring and security check is something i want too for anyone visiting Pakistan so i am not Against US law of strict Visa Process , but there are many many people who does not have any criminal background and even have stable Financial position still US embassy rejected their Visa . I hope that Things will change in Future but i doubt anything Positive will happen in next 4 years which will benefit Pakistan General Public .
