Guys, Its been so long that we didnt heard any news about any major development in NAVY ....
there were some deals of 6 AIP subs , probably Yuan or S20 class and some type 54a on lease , but nothing official so far ???
what is happening in our NAVY ? are they Corrupt ?? or they are just so lack of funds that they cant even buy one Sub ?!

@Horus i know that it might be diffucult as it sounds , but what i notice with Navy projects that they are pending from years now ..unlike we see a recent purchase of 13 f-16s for PAF , ...

well this small budget , i would prefer that Pak-china work on upgraded F-22p . with high displacement and better SAM's ..
and for destroyers i would say type 54a from PLAAN

Yeah, the Type 054A would be the most suitable ship to serve as the destroyer for the PN, since the Type 052D is simply too expensive to operate and to maintain.

The Type 052D has most powerful band radar (The Type 346A comparable to the AN/SPY-3, and more powerful than the AN/SPY-1D used by the current Arleigh Burke class) among all destroyers, and it also has the most advanced versatile hot/cold launch VLS, comparable to the MK-57 VLS used by the DDG-1000.

The Type 054A is just a good frigate with the mature technology, but it doesn't have those powerful technologies from the Type 052D.

The Type 054A also uses the hot launch VLS, but not as advanced as that of the Type 052D.

The Type 052D's versatile VLS is as advanced as the MK-57, but even bigger with more missile packed capability.

The Type 054A's hot launch VLS is as advanced as the MK-41, but smaller because the frigate has limited size to host the larger VLS.

And the SAM used by the Type 054A is the HQ-16 series. The range of this SAM varied from 25 to 75km, but I heard that the new version AKA the HQ-16Z has been improved to 150km or even more, which could be used to replace the HHQ-9 in the near future.
