First off, I am not an Indian. I am a Surinamese Hindustani.

Second, I made this poll on the basis of the research done in 24 countries by YouGov.

As I said, in the first sentence of the first post of this thread, I only chose the 9 most popular cuisines listed in the graph in the first post, because it is not possible to have more than 10 options if you make a poll on PDF.

The 10th option was reserved for 'other'.
Members could then at least select 'other' if the cuisine of their choice was not listed among the 9 options.

Turkey and cuisines from Arab countries were excluded, because they did not reach the 'Top 9' in this survey.

Pakistan and Iran were excluded because they were not surveyed in the research done by YouGov.
before posting such a poll, remember your audience. I like food and find that the list you have excluded most; why not take the next step especially for polls votes to get it more inclusive.
Add - Persian, Azeri, Pakistan (I would even diversify further by province or tribe), Iraq, Afghan, let us add even Uzbek food which I find totally delicious and very much akin to some Pak foods.

It's a joke. A lot of Pakistan's blame everything bad on the Jews. I'm just making fun of that.
appreciate the correction :). I enjoy most foods as long they are kosher or halal. Chinese is not one of them - i cant take the smell or MSG overdose.
Thai is ok.

For the poll, I only selected the 9 most popular cuisines listed in the graph below + 1 option which says 'other', since polls only allow a maximum of 10 options.

Not adding Pakistani food on a Pakistani forum to the poll is a major crime.

Please change it and respect our culture and cuisine here.

Nothing beats northern/western pakistani food for me, and punjabi daal. They make the best daal and horrendous kababs.

He's trying to ignore it. Cute attempt

Punjab is a large province, our cuisine is very diverse. In North Punjab and on borders w KPK like Hazara, we have the similar cuisine to you guys. In the South Seraiki areas, cuisine is similar to Sindh and Balochi food.

Probably you are referring to the Central Punjab region. I am from Lahore, Faisalabad area.

I can tell you that many people coming from other provinces love our food, and our kababs which tend to be spicy like Lahori Chapli Kabab and Naan Kabab.

Mostly though we are famous for traditional Punjabi dishes which I am sure you love: Grilled Pheasant, Nihari, Payye, Haleem, and Pulao (w Shami Kabab.) We also have very good mithai, Gajar halva, sooji halva, kheer, semiya, and ras malai.

Kasur is famous for Falooda. Faisalabad for BBQ, grilled meat.

I will admit that KPK has the best naan, beef Kabab, and lamb dishes in all Pakistan. Peshawari kava is splendid too.

TURKISH CUISINE MASTER RACE

All Levantine Arab (Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian) cuisine is just a cheap knockoff of Turkish food. Same for Israeli, Greek, Armenian food.

All the food is derived from the Ottoman Empire and the Turkmen tribes which founded it.

There is nothing as good as the original. Turkish food is phenomenal.

In a similar way, Indian, Bangladeshi, Afghan food is derived from Muslim empire and Mughals cuisine which was mostly based in Pakistan.

This is why Pakistani cuisine is the most robust in the region.

Imperial courts of the Late Muslim empires were the main source of new cuisines in the Muslim world.

Many dishes have interesting origins like Lokum (Turkish Delight,) Baklava, Shami Kabab, Biryani, Etc.

.
Except for that one thing the whole world recognizes as a Pakistani speciality. That is actually a yindoo-yahoodi conspiracy to give Muslims a bad name.

Not a conspiracy.... Its our own doing... Lack of will to promote or highlight our culture.... Especially when faced with a much bigger adversary southof us willing to rape Pakistan through cultural appropriation !!!

But that is about to change with a leader at the helm of pakistani affairs...

True, I generalized cause I didnt feel like typing much. In kpk people go to Punjab just to eat their daal and vegie dishes, although they do cant eat alot because of the spice level. Most of our food is not spicy at all, its flavorful but not spicy.

Indians are basically lentil and leaf eaters with no culinary culture.
lol you're probably trolling but that is so wrong. First off, there is no such thing as Indian cuisine, as even within India, basically every state/region has it's own unique cuisine.

The "mughal" biriyani and kebabs bit is restricted to a small part of north/north west India.
Popular culinary traditions in India include but are not limited to,

Kashmiri: where muslim and pandit cuisines have their differences although both include chicken and mutton (goat)
Gujarati: worst food on the planet, oily and sweet veggie curries :puke:
North East areas have their own versions: stir fry pork and noodles etc
Bengali, Andhra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu all have very unique culinary traditions
Goa, portuguese influenced food.. vindaloo, cafreal, xacuti etc
Rajasthan, Bihar, UP (awadh and more)

.
Lol its so hilarious to see Pakistanis trying to steal Indian food as their own. Just when you think they can't get more shameless, they start claiming dal for themselves:laugh::laugh::laugh::laughcry::laughcry:

I wonder how they would react if they knew that the most successful Indian restaurants in the US are actually South Indian Restaurants. For example in San Francisco and New York on every other Street Corner there is a restaurant, stand or food truck selling idli and masala dosa. And Americans like that. As much as it makes Pakistani butthurt, the most popular elements of South Asian culture whether it be food, art, architecture, clothing, etc. are not Mughal garbage but indigenous Indian culture, typically native to the Gangetic Plains(also known as the cradle of civilization) or the Deccan Peninsula.

And the OP clearly mentioned he only listed the 9 most popular cuisines on the list. Even if he included everything on the list, it wouldn't include "Pakistani food" because Pakistan was not included, although it would include Danish and Filipino food.

I have to strongly disagree. Gujarati food is amazing. Haven't you tried Dokla and Tapla? Not to mention Kutchi Daveli and the like.

Every part of India has good food in its own way, which is one thing that makes India incredible.

Dude this is Pakistani forum , some dude claimed that western renaissance occurred due to Arabs LoL , just read the comments , dont counteract , ignorance is bliss
True, by this forum is frequented by members of other countries too and as such we need to counter their vicious propaganda and trolling with hard facts.

Please add pakistan to the poll. It will be the appropriate thing to do on a Pakistani forum

Not adding Pakistani food on a Pakistani forum to the poll is a major crime.

After members have voted in a poll, it is not possible to change the options.
I can also not add any more options because I already used up all the 10 options.

I made this poll based on the content of the first post.
In this first post I posted the result of a survey done by YouGov among 24 countries.
This survey showed that Italian food was the most liked cuisines of 34 cuisines among these 24 countries.

Therefore I made a poll to see if members of PDF would also agree with the results of this survey.
However it was not possible for me to list all the 34 cuisines, because the polls on PDF have a maximum of 10 options. So, I chose the 9 most popular cuisins (from the survey) and added a 10th option as 'Other'.

This poll was never intended to be a general poll of which cuisine is the best.

I see that you chose 'Other,' which cuisine did you mean by it?

As for me, Pakistani is best. Recently I have been into the cuisine of KPK and North Punjab. A lot of Lamb and Beef dishes.

.
Despite having IT cuisine as their King... Most of them never tasted real IT cuisine... But some sort of Low cost Frankenstein High price cuisine in some Fake Italian look alike restaurant names... or by following some Shady recipes...
