The entire Indian Space program and its humble beginnings have been documented in APJ Adbul Kalam's autobiography "Wings of Fire".

It is truly one of the most inspirational books I have ever read.

This is one excerpt from the book documenting his meeting with the inventor of V-2 and the father of the modern rocket , Werner Von Braun.

Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and Dr. Satish Dhawan were the true pioneers of our space program.

Makes every Indian feel proud in the hardships , struggles and successes faced in this journey.

W2M satellite : This image shows the solar panel at the completion of its deployment test. The panel is supported by an overhead suspension system to simulate the near zero gravity conditions in orbit, where the W2M’s panels will be deployed after its launch by Ariane 5. Based on the ISRO I-3K satellite bus, W2M will have a liftoff mass of 3,460 kg. and will provide TV and radio broadcasting services :
