Why do foreign countries prefer using our rockets for their satellite launches?..Are the rates of ANTRIX corp. lower than even economical Russian rockets?
..or is it because our launch centres are closer to the equator and the launches are easier?

The cost is far cheaper in ISRO's case.

Both reasons as above, for a certain launch weight category; ISRO's rates are the most competitive.
Plus politically it is easier to give the business to India rather than say Russia or China.
