ISRO planning 10 space missions in2013

New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS) The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning to accomplish 10 space missions in the next one year, parliament was informed Wednesday. Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office V. Narayanasamy told the Lok Sabha that eight of
these are planned by September 2013 and the
remaining two by 2013-end. The missions are three polar satellite launch vehicles, one geosynchronous satellite launch
vehicle, two communication satellites, one earth observation (ocean) satellite, one meteorological
satellite, one navigation satellite and Mars orbiter.

i m dying to see GSLV MK3, ISRO plz launch it as soon as possible.....:)

Only one GSLV launch? I was hoping for more .

can't take too much risk with GSLV, GSLV is in it's nascent stages, ISRO still has to master the cryogenic engine technology, last time we tried two GSLV missions in one year - 2010, the whole program got a setback as the two launches were a failure. We have to learn to walk before we can run.

but most important is that Mangalayaan(mars mission) will be in nov,2013..best of luck ISRO.. :yahoo:
