Israel Python is good... I dont know better than MICA but the question is it compatible with Mirages?

This seems like an ill-informed article. An "MKIised" version of the winning MMRCA was always a must not only Israeli but Indian components are going to have to go into the Rafale such as IFF and other sensitive equipment such as SATCOM equipment to communicate with IAF satellites aswell as many advanced French equipment will be fitted to Rafale that is not currently fitted to any production Rafale such as HMDs, colour HUD, towed decoy etc. This is a non-story this was stipulated in the orgiinal RFI so the Litning pod will defiantly be on board.
Have no doubt, the MoD/IAF are in the driving seat of this deal and Dassualt are more than happy to give India what it wants.

Wrong comparison....iit will be alot better to compare Mica with Derby{we already using it in our harriers}....althrough Mica has better operational range but on another hand Europeans weapons are much more costlier then Israeli,American or Russians....and Btw if we can put French equipments Mig 29 and Su30Mki then i don't find any reason for french to deny our demand....
Other wise Cammeron is just one call away he will even be ready to give a blowjob to Python5 for getting him Mmrca deal....don't forget MMRCA deal not just another deal for Dassault.....their survival depends on this deal....

Guys, don't take the article too seriously, because it's not an issue of who will allow what, but of business mainly!
When the US fighters were rejected LM offered several weapons for EF and Rafale, although none of them were integrated so far and the US government must support such a move first.
Similarly, Rafael the manufacturer of the Litening pod might use this report, because they see a good chance of business here and is looking for government support to influence us:
Thales on the other side has an interest to sell their own Damocles pods of course too and since it's already integrated and the development of the improved version is already going on, they will do anything to sell it to IAF of course.
So at the end, they all want to make money out of this deal, nothing else.
Wrt MKIsation, we should not forget why Russian fighters in Indian service got so many foreign parts, because they can't offer comparable techs! Rafale on the other side is offered with high class avionics, weapons and systems, that's why we shouldn't expect a similar MKIsation here as well. Just compare the Mirage 2000 and Mig 29 upgrades and you will see the difference!
For Mirage and Rafale fighters, the only realistic foreign changes might be Litening integration, possibly SPICE PGMs in the 1000 and 2000lb class, as well as an indigenous or Israeli data link system, that is compatible to A50 AWACS and MKIs..., otherwise I don't see much that would be an improvement to what the French already offers.

Litening will be integrated in Tejas, Get Damocles for Rafale. Best of both worlds.

did anyone else know that the Israelis offered to upgrade the M2K fleet with new weapons, avionics etc for half the price the French offered?
we should have opted for Derby since it is more advanced that MICA and probably cheaper as well. Israeli avionics and weapons are very capable more capable than the French this is what is unique about the IAF which is combining other countries technologies onto a certain platform take for example the SU-30MKI with French/Israeli/Russian avionics and subsystems it has become one of the worlds best fighter aircraft compare that to its predecessor the SU-30M.

France already has 10s of billions in civil nuclear reactor projects and now this MMRCA. They won't object though might try to encourage IAF to use their pod instead.
Indian military is in love with both Israeli and French tech.
Israel - Tavor, lightning pod, derby, Barak Sam, radars, UAVs, avionics, tank upgrades? etc.
French - light weight helis, fighters, air-to-air missiles, avionics etc.
These are two true strategic partners on top of the Russians.

reactor deal was above 22 billion and mmrca will be surely above 20 billion + 6 billion subs + 4 billion mirages....
so they will surely give up in front of indian demands
