The only reason that this has been uploaded to defence.pk and is being discussed threadbare is because it is an Israeli running over a Palestinian. I mean, for god's sake - hit and run cases happen in the thousands, all over the world. In India (and I suppose even in Pakistan), it is so common that drivers are scared of mob fury to such a great extent that they either drive away, or abandon the vehicle and run away (in case of buses and trucks). In the charged atmosphere of Jerusalem, when kids wear masks and throw stones, you can imagine the fear of the driver. Even you cannot predict what you yourself would do in a panic situation like that!

I see what your are saying, but the acts like these speacialy Hit and Run cases should be condemned ... and i see most of your fellow country man already labeling the Kid a gangster or future terrorist and that grown up experinced man a hero.

The value of human life... if i am driving a car at some speed, even suddenly an animal comes infront of me I will apply the brakes.. or i will try to turn the car .. i will avoid hitting him.. its human nature ...

and if you see a human being specialy a palestinian kid.. what will an Israeli do.. run him over..

Since it is a kid you emphasize, whose responsibility is it to prevent a kid from being a danger to the society as obviously that kid was? Pelting stones can potentially kill a man as much as running cars over a human can potentially kil him. And if an unprovoked act like pelting stones occurs first, it is hardly a surprise that an innocent man driving in the streets would run over him. The provocation came from the kid, it is the kid or the person who is supposed to prevent him from being a danger to the society that are responsible, not an average joe who is attacked without reason while driving in the middle of a road.

If you go to remote hill stations in India you will see Israelis and Indians living together like one family. There's no difference other than skin. I say this from experience, not imagination. The Israelis I've come across were some of the kindest, brightest, humane people I've met. They just want to live, nothing more..and they are being forced to fight for survival.

Pakistanis have this misconception because they have been fed lies and hatred about Jews, Zionists and Israel from childhood.

Besides, nobody is bending over for anyone. Your misconceptions are blinding your thought and you are unable to see how the child was on a suicide mission throwing stones on a moving vehicle while standing in it's path ! It's easy to say how you would have stopped on an internet forum, but not so easy when you actually face the situation !

The Palestinian kids are absolutely uncivilized with this kind of behaviour. What did they prove, what did they achieve ? Again, I cannot blame them. They have been raised in such circumstances, but such activities should be absolutely discouraged. Violence is an impulse not a solution, and those who fall to impulse are weak individuals. A society of weak individuals is a weak society and can never realize it's true potential.
