My friend iam confused so could u please explain it to me.if i were to launch a missile at u a or a rocket for just argument sakes.this system will call the incoming missile or rocket and ask for identification papers .when its clear to it that it isnt a missile it will just realx and let it fall .or what please explain?
Americans have 90 to 70 % win Rate news to me or probably to most Americans for that matter.i belive in all the tests they have done one was a hit.every one of them have homing becons on them and they are modified to max for the interceptors.could u please also explain it to me how 1 hit equals 100% for india and 70 or 90% for americans.Americans actually televised there tests iam to just take Indians word for the hit.hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.is there a link with video.?
Americans are spending some where like 10 billion or more on this and no success yet indians with ist missile strike i say hell of a job

Vnomad we are using a diff way of system which will have 99% probability against IRBM's.

But, its a long way from being operationalized.

How come its not going to be as effective against ICBMs or SLBMs?

Do you know We will have MF-STAR radar with Barak 2 which is a 100 km long range sam, what makes you think a little navalized version of this with further developements can make it in the standards of SM-3 ofcourse a decade away.

Do we face a SLBM threat now?
Are even there any SSN operating in indian ocean?
We will field three tier defence, third tier will take care of SLBM.

It will be effective but how will you do the boost phase interception of a ICBM?you need to field missiles like US doing across Russia, hopefully you got what i mean.
We need protection from neighbours.
and can we for once look short?
this is frigign one test and we are jumping against ICBM which a true one only US/Russia has.

France, Britain, Germany, China and Japan have not yet developed the capability to make one of these by themselves, though Japan will certainly is on a crash program to do so with extensive U.S. cooperation and China is already lavishly supplied with S-300 systems, and possibly others, bought from Russia.

The strategic balance of the world therefore shifted on Monday. India took a very large step indeed and served notice that it has much to give, as well as to receive, in its strategic weapons and BMD cooperation with the United States

Yups, Lets not jump out of box, We have long way to go.
Lets just wait and See what happens next within next year, specifically with a lot of missiles being tested next year.

The new Endo-Atmospheric version will be tested early 2007.
As i said I have immense faith in Indian talent[when we have money to make them happy], We head US Solid State Laser project, and numerous things like that, so there is no reason of people thinking we will go the "US" way.

We might actually did a total new way, its both of us which have much to give and take thats what we have proven in this BMD race.

As of now this is a success, first test which is itself a great achievement.


DRDO is doing a lot and extremely few peoples have knowledge what it did so far or does, many pakistanis i know dont even want to get out of well to acknowledge.
They should read Wings of Fire by Kalam, atleast he being a Muslim will make some those non-believers think twice

and i wonder if the israelies have this tech why they couldnt stop hizbullahs **** rockets.

Its just not worth it.You are not going to send a million dollar missile to bring down a cheap rocket.But they had deployed the patriot system,just incase if BMs were launched against them.
