2) Israel gets military contracts.

Factually wrong.
Not one Muslim country in the world - including Pakistan - would have stopped selling us oil or stopped trading with us if we supported Israel in the UN resolution.

Your imagining it as a 'business decision'. It was a cost-benefit decision, international trade was not one of the issues though.

That is correct. That has been our understanding for around 1.5 decades. What changed is that for the first time India did not censure Israel publicly as was always the case earlier. There is a Right of Center Govt in India now.
