Israel to re-evaluate diplomatic ties with 13 countries including China

  • Not sure if there are any "actions" by the UN resolution. Israel continues to hinder , two state seperation of the region permenently

The resolution has no sanctions. Its really nothing new right now, except that the U.S.A. didn't veto what the entire world has been asking and begging them to do for many years now.

What is to come could make a difference if it wasn't Israel. Under Trump the U.S.A. will likely veto any substantial consquences anyways.

I suspect the unconstructive and undiplomatic lashout is just a defiant tantrum and in a few months they will open up the diplomatic channels with all the permanent members again because they can't keep themself isolated for too long.

Israel would have to sever ties with the United Kingdom, China, France and Russia, who all voted in favor of Resolution 2334.
------------------------------------------
Media exaggeration. it won't happen. cut ties with these many countries? Israel is nothing but stupid.

Not "would". The news says it was already ordered by their Prime Minister.

With exception of Venezuela , with which they apparently had no relations in first place, they say business with the embassies of all UNSC members who voted in favor of the resolution will be suspended.

It's hard to believe but all the other news agencies say the same.

All this will change to the opposite in the Year 2017

Seems their diplomatic spring they been boasting about hasn't brought much change. Temper tantrums, give it a year or more and most of these ties will be back to normal.

Looks like Senegal a country that expanded relations with them sponsored the resolution after Egypt caved.

Their reaction would be like if China immediately cut all ties with Israel after they did not support us in the South China Sea arbitration.

But as you said, it's mostly just hot air. It's not feasible for them to cut ties with all members of the Security Council.

Very obvious the new settlement in west bank is much controversial. Whatever to say, they need to respect the fact and stop breaking the status quo.

I'm all for relations with Israel, we gain in science, technology, and security. However China is number 2 in R&D spending and producing the most scientific papers, even if they cut off or downgrade relations we will no longer be reliant on them or anyone(civilian and military fields) in 2030. Example, Israel stopped the sales of AWACS, missiles, and upgrading our drones we developed our own.

It's geopolitics as you explained Arab/Muslim world is more important due to energy, economy, and size. we should however be cautious of Wahabi/Zionist influence and put our interests first.

They are angry on a resolution which ask them not to demolish poor Palestinian homes and make jewish home over it.
It is inhumane and we call ISIS savages who did same with minorities.

Too little too late. It will all be reversed and more when Trump takes office. Either wag, Israel is known to break international rulings anyway.

Very well said. Oftentimes, Salafism and Zionism are indistinguishable. Hence, Israel had their spring with the Gulf and Turkey in their attempt to destroy Syria.

The antithesis of Zionism is not more Islamism; it is more leftism/revolutionarism.

No wonder Israel supported Arab Spring in Syria, but not in Bahrain or Saudi Arabia.

Britain Pulled the Strings and Netanyahu Warned New Zealand It Was Declaring War: New Details on Israel's Battle Against the UN Vote
...
Western diplomats say the conversation was harsh and very tense and Netanyahu let loose with sharp threats, perhaps unprecedented in relations between Israel and another Western country.
“This is a scandalous decision. I’m asking that you not support it and not promote it,” Netanyahu told McCully, according to the Western diplomats, who asked to remain unnamed due to the sensitivity of the matter. “If you continue to promote this resolution from our point of view it will be a declaration of war. It will rupture the relations and there will be consequences. We’ll recall our ambassador to Jerusalem.”

What is their plan escalating this so far?

It would not be a loss to China if Israel will go through with this "war declaration", the illegal occupation of certain areas of Palestine is something many countries do not support. I was surprised USA abstained, thought Yankees obeys Israel :coffee:
