Your life is governed in concentric circles which spread out and along a sliding scale you reduce the resources you are prepared to employ. In other words you are economical with time/effort and concern that you are prepared to invest. If you were not, you would go stir crazy.

The same triage that we as individuals employ is also used by states. If Pakistan for instance did not use the economics of triage and self interest I am sure the Talibturds would be most pleased seeing -

• Pakistan deploying army on the Pak/China border and warning if China persists in persecuting our Uighur Muslims we will have no choice but use military force to protect our Muslim brothers in Uighuristan. Any consequences inshallah Allah will judge.
