Islamabad’s Schools and Colleges to go Digital with Textbook E-Filing System
Posted 2 hours ago by Ahsan Gardezi
The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) is working on establishing a textbook e-filing system for all the schools and colleges in the federal capital.
The Director-General (DG) of the FDE, Dr. Ikram Ali Malik, announced the development at a ceremony for Islamabad’s tree plantation campaign at the Islamabad Model College for Boys in Sector G-7/2.
All the institutes are advised to communicate with the FDE offices via email.
While discussing the e-filing platform with the audience that comprised teachers and students, Malik stated that the government is working tirelessly to resolve the longstanding complications that the schools and colleges are involved in.
He advised the teaching staff not to worry about visiting the FDE as they are supposed to focus on teaching to improve the quality of education.
Regarding the ongoing tree plantation drive in Islamabad, Malik revealed that all the 423 institutes have been ordered to plant at least 100 saplings within their campuses and that those lacking space should plant saplings outside the institutions.
Besides the ongoing large-scale institutional reforms for revamping Islamabad’s educational sector, the federal government also aims to improve the environment by growing more than 40,000 trees at all the schools and colleges. Additionally, the concerned federal divisions have been directed to regularly monitor all the venues for immediate improvement.
