ISIS continues to haunt Egyptian Army in Sinai

.
Ahh the Egyptian approach. Ignore a significant ISIS insurgency by posting pictures of holiday resorts colonies.

Meanwhile, poor Egyptian soldiers are getting slaughtered in Sinai.

I love the Egyptian people, but your leadership is wicked.

.
Isis centred around Iraq and Syria. Sinai and Libya was isis chance to expand. In libya they took sirte before they got driven out. In afghanistan they usually failed. In sinai they seem more like a guerilla force than a conventional one like the one seen in iraq and syria.

Once they lost iraq and syria, isis was finished for good. A lot of people tend to overrate how they will come back. They wont. Kurds use this fear mongering argument so the Americans and the Russias can stay because they know they will get jumped by everybody.
ISIS are still capable of inflicting great harm in Egypt. Not too long ago they murdered some 160+ Christians in a church bombing.

I don't think they can 'come back' as a force that obtains territory, but they could paralyse parts of Egypt and ruin their tourism.

Thats true hopefully Egypt can bring it under control.

. .
Sinai is a complete desert except for a few huts here and there. If they had any competence, they would have solved the issue by now.

the problem is they call this people isis.. while maybe they are not isis but just muslim people fighting against a dictator who calls them this way to justify his kill spree

.
Ok since you blame Turks once again for propaganda and creating isis then let me share the experience my italian collegues parents made in egypt last year.
They went to an all inclusive resort, dont remeber where but they were basically trapped in the hotel. The staff strongly advised them not to visit the city because of security concerns, they have been told that at best they get scammed and at worst abducted or get caught in a terrorist attack.
Those were the local egyptians who told them, is that erdogan propaganda too?

First of all I didn’t blame Turkey ... it is only Erdo Regime ...!

then regarding your claims of your friends.... plz , tell me what city as the last year the Italian tourism increased by 40% to reach 500,000 Italian Tourists and 13 Millions tourists total ....

https://www.youm7.com/story/2019/10...يادة-فى-عدد-السياح-الإيطاليين-بمصر-فى/4442830

So your claims cannot be true ...! Or they are doing something wrong or Went to an Area that needs security pass near Sudanese or Libyan boarders .... or whatever The reasons that make them in that situation.

not long time ago ...!? Do you mean 5 years !?

the thing which is not long ago is rapping and killing European female tourists In Morocco and broadcasting the crime on the internet .... that is happening frequently in Morocco .... not to mention the Western desert resistance of the Moroccan invasion that may infiltrate north and making harmful attacks on the tourists resorts like what happened in Tunisia.

Edee7om 3ala bozo7om el sharameet wlad el zeft dol lol.

terrorism is curse no matter whom is suffering we should condemn it at any form . may be we have issues with any country but we can not laugh on terror in that country . hope egypt wipe these snakes from its earth

Indeed. Most of the jabs on this thread is just out of pure malice towards Egypt. It's the same crew, the same crowd, the same pack of hyenas that always jump on any chance they get to call Egyptians and Arabs incompetent etc. etc. Just dumb idiocy and trollollolo crap from the usual suspects that really have absolutely nothing inherently constructive criticism, even, to offer whatsoever. Sure there's blame to go around in every case, but understanding the complexity, diffiuclt, successes and failures all together is not something this herd is capable of doing. Malicious children with anger issues and baby temperaments don't typically understand such complexities of even a small section like what we have in Sina. They didn't even know it was relgated to that tiny area near Gaza and pretended it was the entire peninsula! lol. That's why the pictures of all the areas and especally the map from @Amun to be sure people understood how concentrated it's been. That alone is success in containing it, but of course that gets lost easily and conveniently. Because it's also tied into the smuggling from Gaza (to a certain extent, that really does help a lot with the infiltration of weapons) as well as even some military personnel that have gone rogue and joined the dark side.) Just a few months ago, one of their leaders -- who was an ex-Egyptian military scumbag -- was caught in Libya and transported on a C-130 and tried and hung like the scum-soil that he was.

But it's interesting that you said what you did because it seems that most Pakistanis who live in Pakistan and have been somehow affected in some way or another by these absolutely awful acts of murder and treachery, understand the difficulty of terrorism and eradicating it. Especially urban terrorism within the population itself.

Pakistan sure has had its share of terrorism as we all know. I just saw this on Wiki the other day when I was talking to someone else about this.

According to report by Brown University's Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs, 23,372 Pakistani civilians and 8,832 Pakistani security personnel were killed in the war on terrorism.[10] Moreover, According to the government of Pakistan, the direct and indirect economic costs of terrorism from 2000–2010 total $68 billion.[11] In 2018 Pakistani newspaper, Dawn news, reported that the Pakistani economy suffered a total loss of $126.79 billion due to war on terror since 2001.

Look at those crazy numbers! If there is any truth to them, which I suspect there is, that's pretty insane and despite the great job the Pakistani intelligence and military have done to curb the crazy amount of terror, it's still hampering the country to some degree. So this is something that I think someone like you can appreciate the difficulty of squashing it, not the rest of the ........... on this thread.

In reality, after operation Sinai 2018, it was effectively clamped down for a while. Things looked good but as soon as you turn your back, they spawn like the scum that they are. But just like Pakistan, this has somewhat died and slowed down considerably since they started and had a leg up.

Well that further complicates things for Egypt. Will they send army to Libya to face Turkey? That might cause a spike of attacks in northern sinai. What if tahrir square became hot again?? Sisi must be sweating again..
Egypt has a complete dedicated army just for Sinai.. so don't sweat too much about this..
There are other armies waiting for you to cross that red line in Libya..
Arab incompetence allowed Isis and aq to grow.

Thats a fact. You arabs have a habit of blaming Non arab Muslims for everything.

You arabs are so incompetent its easy to blame Turkey. Own up to it.
How stupid one can get.. just to insult the Arabs.. Turkey suffered more from terrorism than Arabs..
Go get your facts right first and clean your mouth with some strong detergent..lol

the problem is they call this people isis.. while maybe they are not isis but just muslim people fighting against a dictator who calls them this way to justify his kill spree
Or maybe just like those Muslim Kurds fighting turkey's dictatorship..no? Why do you call them PKK.. aren't they just Muslims too..

Arab world doesn't have a single united front to deal with issues.

If field Marshal Sisi had command of the Arab world he could invade and expand north and eastbound, Arabization all the way.

That terrorism against Pakistan was because of India and the space US allowed it to carry out those activities from Afghanistan.

I suspect also foreign support for these terrorists in Sinai, and the number one country to gain advantage will always be Israel. They are still bitter that they lost it to Egyptians.

Many members are upset maybe to see the inaction of Egypt against Ethiopian dams and the over-aggressiveness in Libya. I also don't understand how Sisi gave two islands belonging to Egypt to KSA.

Egypt needs more patriotic leadership, maybe MB nor Sisi are the answer though.

This isn't child's play or hunting a group hiding in the mountains of that craphole called Afghanistan.

Please watch these kinds of statements.

Its not "my claims", its just what i have been told, actually even more but i will leave it for the sake not going further off topic.
You can ofcourse choose to not believe me, the choice is yours.

That terrorism against Pakistan was because of India and the space US allowed it to carry out those activities from Afghanistan.

I understand all that. Unlike many here, I don't judge the inability or how long it's taken because I understand the difficulty of dealing with something like that. My point was not whomever caused it, it was that it's also been a long time and very difficult to eradicate. It might even be impossible to flush out completely.

Many members are upset maybe to see the inaction of Egypt against Ethiopian dams and the over-aggressiveness in Libya. I also don't understand how Sisi gave two islands belonging to Egypt to KSA.

They don't understand because they're not trying to understand. That's not my fault. All the material is out there to read and see the history of what happened.

Also, why the heck would anyone here care about Egypt's supposed "inaction" against the dam in Ethiopia? With all due respect, that is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever read! Do you have any idea how long Egypt has been negotiating with Ethiopia about that dam? Since it was on blueprints only! That's over 10 years we've been trying to talk to them and they keep scamming us.

So what inaction are you speaking of? You would rather we just send our F16s and Rafales and MiGs and bomb it and destroy it? Is that the action you're talking about? Imagine what the reaction would be if Egypt did that? We would be even more chastised by the same group of haters here. "How dare they destroy a poor country's dam that was going to be their only salvation to development and get them out of poverty blah blah blah" and more breath dung. You can't be serious. We've tried every single thing possible on the diplomatic side because we're not barbarians to use war without attempting every single diplomatic solution available first. So I'm not sure what you're referring to. It makes no sense at all and it honestly sounds like you're not even familiar with the history of this situation, sorry to say.

"Over aggressiveness in Libya"? Ok, that also seems to have been lost on you. Ever since Qaddafi was killed and that country went to chaos, Egyptian citizens have been killed in Libya and many terrorist were carrying out attacks in Egypt from Libya, specifically Derna. So we started bombing them there and bombing them mercilessly on the border. I've posted tons of video about these bombings. Then the Benghazi parliament was elected by the Libyan people and they appointed the LNA as their army and legitimate protector of Libya with Haftar leading it. He also made a pact with Egypt that he would protect the border. So of course Egypt would support him, the Benghazi parliament and the LNA!? Who in their right mind wouldn't if they were in the same situation.

The problem is that most of you Pakistani fellas are loyal to the turks because you have some common alliance with them and so in many instances, it becomes blind loyalty where you automatically see the other side as the enemy because you're obliged to support Turkey no matter what. Well, you're free to do whatever you want, just be sure you understand the other side and at least understand why these things are happening.

The islands of Tiran and Sanafir. Another item that you must study the history of it in order to understand the situation, not just blindly agree with the haters out there, ma man! I'll try to make it brief:

When we were fighting the Israelis in 1948, we needed to block the straight of Tiran for shipping and transporting to the port of Eilat. So those two islands were Saudi Arabian islands at that time, but they were uninhabited. They NEVER belonged to Egypt. No such thing. So Egypt made a pact with Saudiya that it would station a garrison on both island to keep the maritime blockade and watch for navies entering and exiting etc. Then in 1956 when the Brits, French and Israelis attacked because of Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal, they also invaded and occupied the 2 islands and held on to them until the peace treaty and Israel evacuating them. Under the treaty, Egypt was to have a very limited garrison there only for observation etc., because they assumed since we garrisoned the islands, they needed to state rules abut them and automatically assumed they were Egyptian, but they never actually belonged to Egypt. They were Saudi Islands and when they finally asked for them, Sisi did the right thing and handed them back to Saudiya despite all the grief he got for it, even by some Egyptian people who also didn't understand the history. You see, once you actually understand the history, you realize that all the anti-Sisi stuff is mostly made up garbage. That man has actually done A LOT of great things for the country in only 7 years. Yeah he's got some problems and he's far from perfect, but that's our problem, no one else's and ESPECIALLY not the DOG's or turkey's!

Egypt needs more patriotic leadership, maybe MB nor Sisi are the answer though.

Again, that's our business and the overwhelming majority of Egyptian people favor Sisi. We'll see how he deals with the end of his term and decide FOR OURSELVES how we feel about him and who should then lead the country. But until then, he's the boss and he's been doing a hell of a job all things considered.

Please watch these kinds of statements.

Where were you, sir, when many of the same crowd were calling Egyptians dumb? And Egypt a shithole (yep, that's the exact term they used) and much worst stuff. Why didn't you call them out then? I'm sure you saw all that stuff yet you're calling me out. But that's ok. The member who opened the thread is from that hellhole and a full-fledged Egypt hater of the worst kind and the ironic part is how much terrorism is happening in Afghanistan? We need 38 pages to fill up. You know the old saying? "Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." The hypocrisy is brutal here.

How do you know they are Muslims and not drug lords in the first place..and being communist does not mean the Kurds are not Muslims.. Ignorance is when you deny things that are true..
