A vehicle of the country’s top spy agency came under attack in Chumkani near Peshawar Northern Bypass which left two guards seriously injured on Tuesday.

“Around 7:30pm a vehicle of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was on its way when two bike riders opened fire at it,” SSP Operations Javed Iqbal said.

He added that the vehicle was bullet-proof but two guards sitting on the back of it were injured who were later shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

The terrorists armed with an AK-47 escaped unchallenged from the crime scene.

A large number of policemen cordoned off the area and an investigation is still underway.

not a big deal. ISI vehicles are normally unmarked...the gunmen were probably two bit thugs thinking that the vehicle probably belongs to some rich people and tried to rob 'em, that's all...

My own Observation for Helping ISI:

It is being done deliberately to spread confusion and to dirvert the attention toward the killing of one of the leader from minority today in peshawar.

Dont mess it up. Try to find out the handlers those are sitting in pakistan but taking the dictation from east west neighbours. Who is closet right now with the west neighbour? i dont think it should be announced openly.

@tps77 @MUSTAKSHAF Is it as easy to identify and target ISI officials ? From targeting and assassinating Islamabad Region ISI Diretor Brigadier Qadri, to attacking ISI regional offices in lahore and Sukkur. Terrorists knows a lot about their intended targets.

Few Pointers Currently in and For Pakistan every Intelligence Agency is Just ISI, Even if the are from different agencies and in Civi Cloths will be marked as ISI
when a agent is working in some random place its hard to find them but if you have a Big Building With logo ISI it pretty much gives that away,
Majority of ISI is choose from Armed Forces its much secure but these are small circles so leak out can be possible
Its Always better for agencies to keep there HQ Far away from the populated cities so there can monitor everyone in that area and just gives less chance to leak
and since everybody in Pakistan believes theses guys are helped by other agencies so find these things are not that hard for them

Actually 5 6 years ago when balochistan issue was on its peak some lower level officals were kidnapped and they however not accept it but leaked some info regarding there bosses and setup etc ., this is just one example there are many like this but Ofcourse things like this are part of offensive ops of our both eastern and western neighbours.

Lapse on part of officials, they should be aware who is following them, as these attacks are carried out after full surveillance and monitoring the target for many days to know routes, timings, escort etc. The bullet proof vehicle probably saved the officials.

The training provided for surviving in the field of action is what saves any intelligence official, nothing else.

The HQ's of intelligence agencies are made in crowded places, but hidden from the common man due to security measures. Such buildings should not be exposed in certain manner, as once the building shows security personnel, barbed wires, high walls etc, it at once alerts the enemy that something important happens in the building. Getting to know what goes on and about in the building is the next task, which requires a slip of tongue sometimes, but there are many many ways to get information from couriers, drivers, sub contractors, relatives of officials etc.

Killing of sikh leaders will touch all times high around the globe. India is trying to act like Israel. Sikh leaders will act now or will get killed. Khalistan movement taking last breaths.

On all high value targets, intel has been provided by hostile foreign agencies,be it's Kamra,Mehran or GHQ.
In case of Brig Qadri, there was atleast secterian angle involved, because assailant did opened fire on Gadhi Nasheen first and then he turned towards others. In sukkur they came after following someone of high value to them and case officer, but failed in both objectives, case officer did escaped along with target, but unfortuneately we lost DD Usman.

There is no lapse on part of officals and there is no timing and fix route for movement.Surveillance of such buildings is very difficult, because almost all of them are situated on places, where no one can be present without purpose.

The attackers attacked only one vehicle and were present on route to open fire on vehicle, it straightaway tells shows lapse of being followed, the guards had no idea they were being followed and so the guards were hit and wounded. The guards were not even ready to fire back since they were surprised by the attack. The officers also couldnt retaliate and fire back at attackers, is this not lapse? This clearly shows no one had idea of being followed and monitored. We are not talking about Elite force or police guards or QRF, these are guards of intelligence officials and these officials are constantly under threat. If this is not lapse, then i don't know what is lapse. The attackers should have been dead in retaliatory fire, but the attackers fled, to come back and attack again.

Whether you believe it or not, the bullet proof vehicle saved the officials, not the guards nor training and im sure the driver would have sped the vehicle after being attacked instead of chasing the attackers. If you still cant see any lapse, then i have nothing more to say, just throw the training out of the window.

I wasn't talking about surveillance of buildings, the location was in a different context, i was talking about surveillance of movement of officials.

There are several things which come into context over here,it would have been better to use a suicide bomber to take out everyone onboard,if vehical was under eyes and marked by hostile force.
A single vehical without any escort is most easiest to Hit.If you would know about calibre of both Guards, you would hit your head on wall, they are just common infantry guys who have no idea of fire from move vehical or convoy protection, only now they have started to replace them with People's trained in that field.
On topic and on that event, that targeted vehical was already on a route which was incalculable because there are no Government places in chumkani Area, that vehical was hit probably during an ops.
