IS threatens to kill Japanese hostages in new video

There is no point in dealing with them. The only way to solve this is not through diplomacy, they do not recognize nor do they respect diplomacy. Only through military action can these brigands be dealt with. Surgical bomb strikes , tho have been effective, is not enough. Boots on the ground is the only answer.

If these ISIS vermin are so determined in fighting with the sword, then, by God, let them die by the sword.

Mate, are you saying those things out of anger. Or do you really think that we will see Japanese boots on the ground ?

You know US, UK, France, Turkey....all refrains from boot on the ground......

. . . .
What were they doing doing in that medieval hell earlier I.S claimed one Japanese was a private military contracted.

Hope Japan learns from this recent incident of clash of civilization.

JSDF has deployed units in our military base in Djibouti. ISIS is only giving us a reason to mobilize and unleash the JMSDF, JGSDF, JASDF on them. Japanese Military are not merciful towards enemies.

They're messing with the wrong nation.

WTF has Japan even done to deserve this & this clearly shows these are nothing but plain thugs

.
World governments should just bomb those ISIS until they turn into dust.

How did those two Japanese guys get captured and what were they doing there? Japan is in a tough bind. I don't see Japanese boots on the ground (or any nations for that matter) and I know the Japanese government won't cave into the terrorists' demands.

Edit: Haruna Yukawa - one of the prisoners - is mentally unstable, by the way. He tried to castrate himself at one point and started a bogus website in Japan for a PMC (mercenary) company. Then he voluntarily traveled to that shithole area to fight with Syrian rebels only to wind up a hostage of ISIS now. The dude is nuts. Just putting that out there.

I don't know the story of the other Japanese hostage but for Yukawa - the adage of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" holds true.

Edit: Current media stories regarding Yukawa are more sympathetic but an article about him from last year described in great detail how he's basically a war tourist and completely crazy.

I wish our two brothers to remain strong, and to be brave.

I edited my post bro. The one hostage is selfish and has mental issues, IMO. But sadly the other one is an innocent journalist who had nothing but noble intentions. It would be infuriating if Goto got captured because of Yukawa's idiocy.

Yukawa , from what i read, was influenced by jihadi propaganda online. Its something that Japanese Law Enforcement is tackling right now , there have been terror cells identified in Japan -- thankfully they were cauterized. Yukawa, unfortunately , was influenced in going over there to fight against ISIS. The other one is Goto -- who is a respected freelance journalist and a specialist in Islam, Middle Eastern Affairs. He was covering the war in Syria last year when he was captured.

That's scary that extremist propaganda is finding sympathizers in East Asian countries. Granted not to the same extent as we see in European countries but Asian culture is generally incompatible with jihadist ideologies so for it to happen at all is depressing. :disagree:

UPDATE

Japan's Prime Minister vowed Tuesday to save the lives of two Japanese hostages, one a freelance journalist and the other a soldier for hire, threatened with beheading in an online video purportedly released by the Islamic State terror group.

In the video, identified as being made by the Islamic State group's al-Furqan media arm and posted on militant websites associated with the extremist group, a militant threatened to kill the men unless a $200 million ransom was paid within 72 hours. If confirmed to be from Islamic State, better known as ISIS, the video would mark the first public demand for ransom from the group in exchange for the release of captives.

Speaking in Jerusalem, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called on ISIS to immediately release the hostages, saying that "their lives are the top priority." Abe is in the midst of a six-day visit to the Middle East, accompanied by more than 100 government officials and presidents of Japanese companies.

"It is unforgivable," he said. "Extremism and Islam are completely different things."

Abe said he would send Yasuhide Nakayama, a deputy foreign minister, to Jordan to seek the country's support and to resolve the hostage crisis. The premier also said the Israeli government, which Japan promised Sunday to cooperate with on counterterrorism, are sharing information to aid in the hostage crisis. The Israeli prime minister's office declined to comment.

Good. :tup:The whole world hates ISIS. Even Al-qaeda hates ISIS, that's how crazy they are. I hope your citizens are returned safely.

Will Japan really to deploy troops to the Middle East and will China really support Japan if it does so? Or will pigs grow wings first?

Pigs will grow wings first. Because ultimately every nation cares about their own interests and no one is willing to take the lead on an issue that, while angering to the rest of the world, isn't an existential threat.

Edit: Man, imagine if pigs did have wings. How delicious would that be? Probably tastes like chicken wrapped with bacon.
