Dhruv has a capacity from 4-12 people accordingly.yeah!I agree with u partially but arming dhruv also decreases its payload.I think the dhruv can carry max. six ppl with there all weapons and other accesories, that makes it to come down to 2-3 soldier. So then it will be seldom used for transportation.

And seriously WTF is up with the WSI's induction? It has been shown in various forms for the past 10 years when is it going into full scale production and into service?? + will IAF operate it too or just IA?
I hope it gets shelved. Whats the point? When we have the LCH?
Dhruv is very huge guys....Originally it has a capacity of around 12 persons with there weapons and all. Even the WSI Dhruv can carry 5-6 atleast or even more.yeah!I agree with u partially but arming dhruv also decreases its payload.I think the dhruv can carry max. six ppl with there all weapons and other accesories, that makes it to come down to 2-3 soldier. So then it will be seldom used for transportation.
IA will be inducting &^ of them. IA is sponsoring them and their trials are going on.And seriously WTF is up with the WSI's induction?
Well i am not sure it is 10 years because earlier there was plan but IA was not sure about Dhruvs capability but later on IA decided to go for armed version also. Earlier HAL also displayed anti-submarine version also for navy but navy rejected it.It has been shown in various forms for the past 10 years when is it going into full scale production and into service??
Right now IA is funding the development and only IA has placed order. May be after its in service IAF might also place order for some of them.will IAF operate it too or just IA?
New Recruit
i know adding weapon to dhruv will decrease its payload capabilities.
i m not saying that every dhruv should be added with weapon.
but we must have some platform which have both capabilities.
armed forces are not purchasing them for just transportation purpose only. war or peace they always preparing for worst case.
now in any case if we have to lift any wounded soldier/ then this type dhruv can perform batter then weaponless version escorted by LCH because at the end dhruv to land for lifting the target and it we be more close to hostile
we dont need all platform but some. to fight in war LCH will do the job
