What's new

Is the rumoured wife-swapping common among Indian Armed Forces? What about across the world?

I am not married and i am personally against swapping.
But i knew many people who does swapping in rawalpindi and islamabad.
Really do such bastards exist...may be among the most corrupt people aka elite because when you consume haram for long, haram will be the output and envelope your whole life.

Shame on me?

Ok ....

You are a serious kid man.

Cheers, Doc
You didn't need to explain because we know what this swapping thing is. Basically exchange of partners for intimate relations. That is a sufficient definition. But this is a very shameless act. And making it a culture in a professional setup is a crime especially against the unwilling partners. That's really disgusting. I'm not conservative but I'm against any sex outside the formal marriage properly declared and celebrated.

when i read all this sh*t from India, only think of two words THANKS JINNAH :D :D :D :D amazing that some indians here are actually proud and care less :D
This kind of interactions make us realise that despite we share some language, some aspects of culture and foods, we are very very different people thanks to our religion. Even the our liberals like @SecularNationalist and @Indus Pakistan (not the libturds like NS, AZ, Ayyan Ali, Maryam Nawaz, Sharmila Farooqi ) are pretty conservative and that has definitely to do with Islam because of the culture in their families.

You are way too cloaked in the supposed cultural supremacy of your faith to actually recognise the real world around you.

Cheers, Doc

That's because our faith is the way of nature so it makes one realistic and preserve the designs of the nature.

I'm not getting into a theological discussion with you. If I want to discuss Islam (usually historical, rarely conceptual) there are a few others I do enjoy talking to. Not encumbered by hypocrisy, and with clear thinking, albeit partial to their own ancestral narrative.

You on the other hand are pretty typical of desis, both Hindu and Muslim, who find themselves far far away from their cultural moorings, and tend to overcompensate to somehow feel ok about how alien and detached you actually feel in the environment you live in.

Cheers, Doc

Mate, you got it wrong..I'm not discussing it with you, I'm educating you since you don't know.

I am politically secular liberal but privately a very conservative Muslim*. I would put a bullet in my head and my wifes head before even contemplating such a filthy, degenerate thing as wife swapping.

I am well aware that my moorings are derived from Islam and in particular the mores related to family life. I think Islam has much going for it in respect to private life. People think that because I oppose the use of religion in public/political life that I am against Islam. Far from it. I think you hold your faith close to your heart and no go around spitting it at others. But having said this there is always a naturalplay between faith, culture, law in the political matrix of any nation.

*Conservative - which of course is informed by religious values.

I think people are confusing very different things.

Sexual favours granted under duress in return for professional favours, or to avoid professional discrimination is different from swinging/wife swapping. The former is a criminal act, the latter is a "choice".

In Indian society the former is illegal, the latter merely a taboo. You have to remember hindu society historically has been very sexually liberal. They have carvings of a raunchy nature in temples, they even have temples where women work in the trade of the flesh as an act of worship. In some parts of the country where women are few and far between, even brothers share a single wife.

From the article, it looks like Indian military does both and blurs the lines in between.

I am not one bit surprised if the swapping culture exists in some kinky fringe of Pakistani society. sexual deviance is nothing new, and in a society which is increasingly watching p0rn, i'm not suprised some might want to watch it "live". This is something which has increased in western society due to the increase in consumption of p0rn. People are addicted and aroused more by viewing than participating.

It's very dangerous territory mentally.

I know mate.. that's because we have been discussing and debating it here since a long time and that is why I was confident enough to make that statement and tagged without the fear of being wronged. BTW I respect your ideology despite our clear differences but that's a debate for another thread / day.

Main purpose was to highlight the difference which media tries to ignore. I met a lot of Indian people in USA and it slowly dawned upon me that we have a much longer list of differences and our limits do not overlap. Sone girls told me that they were totally okay with walking around naked but couldn't do so due to the society..and one even said so loudly that her parents heard her..which really left me dumbfounded and wondering about reasonable exit strategies though I just wanted to wear my sneakers and run away..

I met pretty liberal Pakistani families as well but still there was a hell lot of difference in the behaviour.

With the SC ruling on decriminalisation of adultery, this topic actually becomes a non issue.

Unless the army has some residual archaic paws still active.

Trust me I have very conservative family along with the traditional, very grouchy head honcho - the senior male. My dad who at 84 still is effectively the 'führer'. This applies across to all brothers, sisters and our kids. Vertical and horzontal. It might surprise you but my brother who is the police officer is most religious of us all but he has no problem is working with a team that is almost all white, christian etc

I have a nephew who is so religious that we call him jokingly "chechen terrorist" on account of his crazy gingerish beard and almost pale white/albino skin on a huge hulking 6'2'' inch 19 stone frame. So never allow my political views make you think I don't hold some very strong views. Drink, drugs, smoking etc are strictly verboten. There is male/female interaction in the family but a invisible wall exists and we all know it's boundaries. I think most Muslims can relate with that.

Yes they do exist and these days they are not always belong to rich and elite families. This swapping thing is prevalent among the middle class as well.I guess because of the high use of internet these days.

Actually people have misinterpreted the true meaning of liberalism and secularism too much in our society. Here whenever people heard of someone secular and liberal they always thinks of a person who drink, does wife swapping ,oppose islam, lack patriotism and copy the west in all aspects of his/her life.As @Indus Pakistan said i am politically secular but in personal life that does not mean i will do nasty things like wife swapping. And i have no feelings of hatred towards those who are doing wife swapping because it,s like judging a book by its cover.I know a retired air chief who was into wife swapping but trust me he was one of the best air chiefs we had and his professional integrity, sacrifice and patriotism for his country was phenomenal. We all make weird choices in life after all we are human beings.Though i respect that guy a lot so i am not going to tell you his name. There is no such law can be made which capable of stopping wife swapping.
Though i agree typical "libtards" are those who gave bad name to true liberals. In the west and in pakistan as well people hate them for a reason because they lack sense of national interests and to some extent lack patriotism and sense of nationalism. For example they are ones welcoming immigrants despite knowing its not good for the country.Or to some extent they are liberal extremist who want to impose rather then advocating a neutral system for all types of people in society. They are exactly the type of people who do not have the balls to sacrifice and fight for their country in hard times unlike to our founding father MA jinnah who was a true liberal in political and personal sense but his whole life was full of sacrifices and struggle for his cause. As a secular and liberal he is my role model and always will be.
I always advocated a neutral system which is way more viable than the current system. And don,t be shocked we had one before Zia ul haq and Ayub khan. So it,s not like i will ditch my rich cultural values and heritage like libtards for no apparent reason and will copy the west in all aspects of life without using my brain.I only oppose those backward cultural and political things which are keeping us backward. After all just like in our professional careers we need to evolve to stay competent ,the human society functions the same way.
