Is Russia a better ally for Pakistan

Pakistan is now building relationships with Russia.but it is the history that everyone who went on this way got ruined.The air chief marshal Tahir Rafique but recently completed his vey important visit to Russia on August 15,2012.it was the first visit of any air chief of Pakistan.In this four days visit he visited the air bases of Russia and also met the Russian Airforce officers.He regarded it a very successful visit but on the second day the attack on kamrah air base occurred.it was a sign that great powers got angry.
Air chief marshal is very satisfied for cooperation between Russia and Pakistan.Pakistan is using Russian built c-17 cargo plane but now Pakistan has shown her intention to buy the advanced fighter jet sakhoi 30.Also Pakistan wants to buy MI-35 helicopter which is an advanced version of MI-24 and is almost bullet proof.this helicopter has a speciality that it has two engines and if one fails then other works and it can be very useful for war against terror.
The Russian president is coming to Pakistan on 2 october2012 and it will be the firsyt visit of Russian president to Pakistan.Now when India is an American allie so it has a lot of importance for Pakistan.and if China,Pakistan,Iran co allie this will be a great partnership don’t you think so?

What is the source of all this info? And Russia does not build C-17 its a Boeing product. So your info is very questionable.
