Is Pakistan's Afghan refugee crisis same as Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh?

I fail to understand the people of Afghanistan. Why are they so backward people? Millitant Taliban has taken over the nation but Afghans are fleeing the country and trying to take shelter in Pakistan and other countries.

For Pakistan Afghan refugee problem is a serious concern in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. It's like Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

Rohingyas are huge burden of Bangladesh. We are a small nation with huge population of 160 to 180 million people. Still Rohingyas are getting all facilities free. Our own poor people can't enjoy those facilities but Rohingyas are enjoying a heavens life in Bangladesh. They have got house, free health care, free education. They don't want to go back to Myanmar. Rohingyas are involved in many criminal activities. They look identical to rural poor people of Bangladesh. So they can easily pass of as Bangladeshi.

I guess they will never return to Myanmar.

They were supporters of East Pakistan and were against Bangladesh liberation. They were pro-Pakistani people and supporters of Pakistan army.

Bangladeshis dislike Rohingyas a lot. It's just politics to give asylum to them but common Bangladeshis extremely hate Rohingya people.

Were they legally East Pakistanis or classified as aliens before 71?

There are Rohingyas in Pakistan too. They say they would either go to East Pakistan or Rakhine.

I thought the Rohingya were Bangla or were similar to Banglas? They're just muslims then?

Rohingyas are similar to Bengalis but they have their own language Rohingya language which is a mix of Bengali and Arabic. There albhabet or script has no similarity with Bengalis but the oral language or verbal language is similar to Chittagong accent of Bengali. You can say they are half Bengali.
