Is Pakistan once again about to miss a vital rare opportunity in Afghanistan?

Pakistan’s Afghanistan policy is in the hands of the Army which has repeatedly shown a tremendous lack of strategic acumen and long term planning that does not involve protecting its own immediate economic interests and influence domestically.

Just look at the Army’s latest debacle of conspiring to overthrow the most popular political party in Pakistan, and the resulting repercussions that Pakistani Army Generals are still ignoring like ostriches with their heads stuffed in a hole full of shite.
Reason is because mostly babas in GHQ are Punjabi and their worlds and strategic acumen more and less ends in Punjab. Plight of Kashmiris and or FATA situation is secondary to running local politics.

When your COAS (Bajwa) whose sole job is to prepare and destroy the enemy (not politics, not peace deals) , is infact behind the doors, assuring your enemy that they are ready to compromise the only outstanding issue this nations has than you can imagine they weren’t even planning to fight for Kashmir

Not really; the responsibility was handed to the locals and KP government as well FC and police. The army wanted to back out from involvement in insurgency things and create internal organisations to handle it.

Plus Faiz Hameed a Punjabi? (Genuine question because I'm not sure if he's Pashtun)

He was responsible for KPK management... Gen Tariq Khan didn't have a lot of good things to say about him.

I am not talking about last 10 or 20 years. I think in last 40 or 50 years, they lost track of their duties. All they did was finger F here or there. Good example is Kargil. Musssraf started it but didn’t planned for situation in case of escalation.
