Is opening a dollar account legal for a Pakistani citizen? If so what is the procedure?

Well, anyone here with knowledge of commerce kindly help me out, i would like to open a dollar account and put my savings in usd but some people are telling me it is illegal? i cant find shit on the internet, so kindly help me out can a Pakistani citizen open it or is it only for foreigners? if it is indeed legal than help me out with the procedure!

Go to a local bank and say you're setting up a dollar account. I'm sure it's that straight forward.

well the bank manager says Pakistani citizens are not allowed anymore. i went to a mcb branch!

No actually you have to be a tax filer and be on ATL of fbr to open such an account
