I saw many divorced single family..The single woman usually live in a miserable state..Many husbands urge women to give up her work..However after the woman gets old,the husband abandon the wife and marries a younger,more beautiful woman.Some even transfer property in advance and their wives can only get half of the house.
I have a friend whose mom works and supports her child,father and mother,I am sure that her husband even doesnt give her anything.
Some women may fear that and have to bear husband's affairs / family violence..

In India, you just don't marry the guy but his family. Choose love marriage and live separately as a couple. Get a maid to look after your young children if you both work and for your older parents. Close family is good but too close is bad ..... keep some distance.

If the husband doesn't treat his wife well and haves affairs with other women I think the woma should be able to go for a divorce immediately but sadly by the time those things go too far they have children and divorce is hard.

A wife should also be kind and loving, she should never take advantage of her husbands kindness and shouldn't push her husband's anger and then start complaining about her husband

Actually is heavily rigged against women. I have seen two cases. The husband gets in a car accident and is paralyzed and the wife is expected to serve and look after him and she still does. One wife got breast cancer and in a year husband divorces her marries a younger woman. This happens more often and the society only forces women to compromise.
