According to a September 2015 poll by YouGov, nearly one-third of respondents (29 percent) “
could imagine a situation in which they would support the military seizing control of the federal government.” That number went up to 43 percent in
a hypothetical situation in which the government was beginning to violate the U.S. constitution. Back in September, Republicans were more than twice as likely as Democrats to back the coup scenario.
...
According to the aforementioned YouGov poll, 43 percent of Republicans could imagine the necessity of a military coup in the United States, rising to 55 percent in the event of constitutional violations.
It is not an IPS-DC poll but a YouGov poll > their sample size 1000 people, but: who did they sample and how?
"29% of Americans could imagine a situation in which they would support the military seizing control of the federal government, while 41% could not imagine such a situation.
The proportion of the country that would support a military takeover increases when people are asked whether they would hypothetically support the military stepping in to take control from a civilian government which is beginning to violate the constitution. 43% of Americans would support the military stepping in while 29% would be opposed."

Basically, this illustrate Republicans are (even more) anti-federal government than Democrats are. Also, consider that 'yes' and 'no' together made up 70%, respectively 72% of all answers. I.e. there are still 28-30% Americans that gave a different answer than 'yes' or 'no'. (Unless of course they've written this up really rather strange )
As it turns out, the remainder is 'not sure'.

In essence, for Q9
Men are more sure than women but still vote yes in the same proportion (m: 32/75=0.43 v. F: 27/65=0.42)
Older people tend to be more sure. The youngest tend to be more against a coup, those in their growth years more in favor, while those in consolidation fase or retirement are in between (18-29: 17/65=0.26 v. 30-44:35/68=0.51 45-64: 31/73=0.42 v. 65+:31/70= 0.44
Race: all groups about equally not sure. White more in favor of coup than blacks or hispanics.
Income: the higher income, the surer and the more against a coup.
Region: the South and especially the northeast are more/most unsure. than west and midwest, but proportion yes/(yes+no) is about the same for all.
You can to q10 yourself.
